And I mean seriously, I don't play a lot of 2000+ players for long periods of time and it is not by choice. My original sparring partner was out for a while and when he came back, he had injuries in his elbow and wrist and while he didn't take them too seriously, I felt his playing level had...

He is usually speaking about the counterloop since I try to stay close to the table. Eventually, I will figure something out. I just don't have the right training partners for the work involved.

Thanks. Most of these matches are played on instinct since I haven't trained anything in way too long and I was testing equipment I have only used for a 3 days as of the time of the match. But it clearly reminds me of some things that I know I have to fix but I haven't given any time recently...

Thanks. Everything requires training, and my stroke planes are already adapted to my current body orientation. I just do the best I can to play without pain while having fun as I can't train that much.

Sorry, I fell slightly ill and missed my timeline. So what I will announce first are the prizes. 1st Prize is a blade - it will likely be either a Vega Euro shakehand blade or a Timo Boll T5000 or a reasonable penhold blade if the winner wants something penhold. But if the winner wants...

He has just taken Big M to 5 games before he played me, so trust me, his game was now sharp and ready for action. He lost his first match 1-3 to the lowest player in our group. Sometimes, you need to play the right kind of player to get your blood flowing so people can see your real game.

Thanks for the kind words. He uses pips for most of his attacking strokes, so that is why the strokes are so short (flat hits with wrists not topspins) - I would do something similar if I used pips too. I have no problem accepting his forehand is better than mine at the moment and he really...

Yeah. If I slip up, just be patient with me. I am only a guy doing this for fun (and a little selfish gain) but in the spirit of the giving season.

You are on my ignore list so I only read a post if it is in an update link or someone else quotes it. Other posters are more than capable enough of helping you so good luck with it.

Thankfully, playing in the moment had me hallucinating - there were three great shots, but only one was really around the net. I feel so much better now. That's why videotape is valuable. To be honest though, the best one wasn't even around the net but it was clearly below the table.

You make an interesting point. People often ask what made Schlager more potent in the 40+ era with speed glue, and this might be a part of it.

I had three different players play around the net rollers on me today. This is getting embarassing.

Obviously, he is a New Zealander so if you know the table tennis scene, you should be able to chat with him about it. If you don't want to do it, that is fine, but please stop acting like a troll.
