  2. Evolution MX-P with Virtuoso + or V'King

Either that or we don't like putting heavy topspin on the ball ;).
  3. NEXY new blades HIGGS and OLAM

I'm getting an OLAM to review as part of a MyTT/Nexy effort. Review will follow on both MYTT and here as promised of course with video.
  4. TT-Training FUN-Video - Marcos Freitas feeling exercices, "magic tricks", giant bat

The funniest thing is that in my head, I never went more than 15 bounces and 5 seconds so you guys must be seeing things...
  5. Blade advice

What has your coach said about your equipment? How well do.you loop.backspin? What would your USATT equivalent rating be? And finally, about how old are you?
  6. Blade advice

It is funny how every beginner thinks they need to learn to hit the ball faster when what they really need to do is learn to hold the ball longer. If all we wanted to do was simply hit the ball faster, we would all be using no sponge short pips on the thickest, bounciest blades available.
  7. Blade advice

What are you trying to do? Where do you want your game to go? What style do you want to play? If you want to be a looper or a versatile topspin attacker, I am not sure who recommended an OFF+ blade to you as your first blade, but you really need to change it to something much slower. The...
  8. Looking for a new faster blade

Slower might be the wrong word, but in for the way I play, yes. Baracuda is much softer and acts like a slow Tenergy 05 - the key difference is that with Baracuda, I don't have to swing hard all the time to get spin, and this was something that I had used MX-S to work on (as well as Big Dipper...

As promised. I want to kill the robot too but my shoulder needs to get better! And of course, no editing, as is my lazy talent :p.
  10. Baracuda

5 out of 5 rating for Baracuda This is one of the best looping rubbers out there with a very high grip topsheet. It is a good Tenergy 05 precursor and up to even the USATT 2400 level can replace Tenergy if the focus of the looper is on doing specific things. While it is a relatively slow...
  11. Looking for a new faster blade

Yes, but it depends on how you play. If you block close to the table or base your game on blocking short and hitting angles, a faster blade might not be good thing. If you stand a bit further back and like to block and punch from about 3 feet out, then the faster blade makes its feeling felt...
  12. Looking for a new faster blade

You are doing this for all the right reasons. I think though that equipment optimization is never easy and without a coach telling you what to use, can get really expensive if you over do it. Since you are using an Allround blade, you have three options, all with various subsets - a faster 5...

Yeah, but wife-beater and underwear is not what I want people to see me wearing on a planned video;). I should get something tonight though.
  14. Baracuda

Review by 'NextLevel' on item 'Baracuda'

This is one of the best looping rubbers out there with a very high grip topsheet. It is a good Tenergy 05 precursor and up to even the USATT 2400 level can replace Tenergy if the focus of the looper is on doing specific things. While it is a relatively slow rubber, it is still an offensive...
  15. Euro rubber lazy shot

MY opponent' strokes(and to a lesser degree, mine) in this match are often an example of what people are talking about. When I first hit with him in the club, I couldn't believe he was getting so much out of the ball for so little effort. But it hurts in ways he doesn't realize but I hope I...
  16. Looking for a new faster blade

The Rosewood is good for what it does, but it is a harder outer ply. As long as he realizes that, all is well.
  17. Tibhar Drinkhall Allround & Offensive Classic Blade Review

Send a quiet email asking to Bribart and don't tell anyone what happened until 6 months or more later.
  18. Looking for a new faster blade

Honestly, Stratus Powerwood is enough IMO for what he is looking for, though he might not like the balance and thickness.
  19. Looking for a new faster blade

The biggest reason is to take advantage of shorter movements to produce speed when rallying/attacking. Simon Gerada is often taking big swings and he has to work harder to get his pace.

I tried a few but my clothing was not presentable for Internet... Will post sometime this week.
