  1. Asian Championships 2015

In the singles, maybe. Xx is definitely on the team as a doubles player and team player. Ma Long has one singles spot - the other is open.
  2. New rubber

Is the retailer building the setup for you?
  3. Asian Championships 2015

As an aside, anyone notice how Xu Xin's forehand is the nuclear weapon of a doubles match? You feel like once he hits his forehand, the point is over.
  4. Asian Championships 2015

You are a member of this forum - go get it and post it. This level of rudeness and ingratitude is amazing. Just about everything you need is on the ITTF website or tabletennista.com, for the record.
  5. Looking for a Pro Version of a ZJK Super Duper ZLC

The environmentalists are after Timo Boll fo requiring real Butterflies on the Mizuno. And are wondering why DHS is messing with the Skyline - not good PR for TT.
  6. Looking for a Pro Version of a ZJK Super Duper ZLC

I heard that Butterfly considered putting gold in the blade - such things may be rumors as the Henzell platinum blade lacked platinum. Butterfly wanted to make a blade they could charge $1000 for and think precious metals could do it.
  7. European Championships 2015 (Singles Event)

Appolonia is too fundamentally flawed (weak backhand) to have an exciting match with a healthy Ovtcharov.
  8. TT Myth Busters

I wasn't clear originally - when I said the spin was impossible,I meant the full description of the serve that SchemeSC present, not just the corkscrew bounce. Corkscrew is my friend - just keeping it real. But of course, sometimes, keeping it real goes wrong...
  9. TT Myth Busters

    It's advertising!
  10. TT Myth Busters

Everything you have described is consistent with the corkscrew kicking in the same direction as the sidespin.
  11. TT Myth Busters

That is some serious spin man. Counterlooping that would be a nightmare.
  12. Reviews

I am going to review four blades here soon. I use straight handles so they will be the: 1) Double Day Loop King Pro ALC ST 2) Tibhar Stratus Powerwood ST 3) Butterfly Innerforce ZLC ST 4) Xiom Vega Pro ST I might review the Xiom VEga Tour, though any attempt I have made toreview that blade...
  13. TT Myth Busters

So you mean the corkscrew was kicking in a different direction from the sidespin?
  14. European Championships 2015 (Singles Event)

The scores that matter are the scores between Daldosso, Maze and Zatowka and they all beat and lost to each other 3-1/1-3 it seems so it came down to points. I didn't do the math but Zatowka probably won that precise computation.
  15. Greatest Table Tennis Rally of all Time?

James, I like the contrarian spirit and like the Waldner-Bohm rally a lot. Watching two lefties sidespin around the net repeatedly and covering more ground than some people cover in a whole set caught my imagination more than the above though. I guess it is a matter of taste. NL
  16. TT Myth Busters

Hahaha - Freudian Slip! So you really believe that if I made a video of myself looping backspin with T25, against the heaviest ball from my robot put to the same place over and over again (and my robot is a high quality Amicus Pro), that I wouldn't do better than you? Or you were too dense to...
  17. Asian Championships 2015

Does the winner qualify for the Olympics? If so, then this tournament is twice as significant for the CNT.
  18. TT Myth Busters

The more I reflect on it, the corkscrews and the sidespins have to go in the same direction. Someone may be able to prove me wrong on that one, but I currently can't imagine it otherwise.
  19. TT Myth Busters

Take it step by step. It doesn't mean the spin is possible, but working it out step by step makes it easier. Topspin - spinning forward in the direction of travel. Left sidespin + topspin - forward and pendulum type sidespin Right Corkscrew means the ball is spinning somewhat in an axis...
  20. TT Myth Busters

That someone can distort the simple effect of air currents so badly is impressive.
