  1. Different Hurricane results based on boosting procedure

Yes, but this is not really relevant to the post. If you just clean the rubber and have a protective nonsticky sheet on it afterwards, it gets shiny again, even after months of use unless you damaged it. This post was more about topsheet stretching to improve tension/hardness
  2. New Stiga blades: Luma and i1

Also do you have any blades to compare it to? @The0rigina1
  3. New Stiga blades: Luma and i1

Anyone in Europe with a Stiga Luma in spare they can sell/source?
  4. Different Hurricane results based on boosting procedure

I have seen the chambers to restore sponges, but never thought of it being able to damage the rubber.
  5. Different Hurricane results based on boosting procedure

Does anyone have a vacuum box? Real test of my theory as well as avoiding any oxidation would be to boost the rubber with no protective film, but let the boosted rubber rest in a vacuum sealed box to avoid oxidation of the topsheet if you are afraid that 48 hours will ruin the rubber. I guess...
  6. Concern about a new rubber

Overboosting probably wouldn't affect dwell time much, sounds more like a technique issue. However the harder the rubber is, the more feedback it also gives, which could be what you experienced change once you boosted it and softened the sponge so you got less feedback. Boosting generally...
  7. Different Hurricane results based on boosting procedure

Yes, for some reason it didn't quote your comment
  8. Different Hurricane results based on boosting procedure

Which booster and how many layers on this?
  9. A better forum via better moderation

The issue was never about being a new user on the forum, but about the obscene level of leeway veterans get on this forum, as also mentioned by OP, selective punishment. As I mentioned and quoted, I was warned that I would get permanently banned from this forum for arguing about a warning that I...
  10. A better forum via better moderation

I agree with OP, the moderation in this forum is definitely questionable. Highly biased towards it’s fellow veteran members, giving them enough leeway to harass other people or speak on random topics on other posts, but once you question it or the mods decision to not follow the forums...
  11. NEW Stiga Helix Hybrid ?

That sounds weird. I’ve used Hybrid H on multiple blades for weeks/months without any physical signs of damage. The topsheet does lose some tackiness after some time, but nothing major. I feel the rubber plays the best 2-3 sessions into usage.
  12. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

I have a Hurricane 8-20 boosted, but looks nowhere near like this boosted. He did post his boosting procedure in the comments of that video, but I’m surprised his reacts so well to boosting thin layers as he says he does
  13. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

Very interesting video/showcase of Taehyun Kim’s setup. Haven’t seen H8 look like this before
  14. Different Hurricane results based on boosting procedure

Just stumbled upon this video from Taehyun Kim, sponsored DHS player, showcasing closeup of his racket, even admitting in comments that it’s boosted. Probably one of the best showcases of professionally boosted Hurricane rubbers, very interesting to see
  15. Different Hurricane results based on boosting procedure

Have you boosted other sheets in the past of same hardness with film on, and feel any difference in it’s playing characteristics after this?
  16. Different Hurricane results based on boosting procedure

I understand, but this post was also never to compare real professional rubbers to rubbers available on the market, but more so changing the characteristics of the topsheet of the rubbers based on the boosting procedure. Based on stretching the topsheet to lose stickiness but gain grip and...
  17. 3 New Andro Rubbers

2.0mm or max? I think 2.0mm is way too thin for a sticky rubber that is meant to hit hard with. I’m surprised they would even offer it in such a thickness, if they want to compete with Chinese rubbers.
