Does anyone have a vacuum box? Real test of my theory as well as avoiding any oxidation would be to boost the rubber with no protective film, but let the boosted rubber rest in a vacuum sealed box to avoid oxidation of the topsheet if you are afraid that 48 hours will ruin the rubber. I guess this would also allow the booster to sink into the sponge better and not evaporate.

Sounds like a gimmick, but maybe this is the secret we've all been looking for with boosting.

I think that might be dangerous. There is a possibility the vacuum would draw air out of the sponge bubbles and make it collapse. Since the spinart hyperbaric chamber can boost an old dignics back to 90% with nothing but pressurized air, drawing a vacuum could permanently damage the rubber.

I have seen the chambers to restore sponges, but never thought of it being able to damage the rubber.

H3 is shiny and tacky brand new thanks to the plastic covering. Once you Peel it off, the rubber will lose its shine.
I have a 5yr+ old sheet and a 2month old sheet and they both are shiny/reflective. Not as shiny as 999T though, that's almost like a mirror😋

The level of reflection I think really depends on how often you clean, cover and take care of the sheet. Tacky rubbers' top sheet in general can last a longgg time because after you clean and cover it, the protective sheet can make an air-tight seal to completely avoid oxidation. With most Butterfly rubbers being non-tacky, makes oxidation harder to avoid in terms of proper care because it is harder to make and keep that seal.

Yes, but this is not really relevant to the post. If you just clean the rubber and have a protective nonsticky sheet on it afterwards, it gets shiny again, even after months of use unless you damaged it. This post was more about topsheet stretching to improve tension/hardness
