  1. Who has the best push game?

Lol with BH anti you can drop short even half long or longer balls and it drives ppl mad xD
  2. Who has the best push game?

Ma Long for sure is no.1. Truls is also pretty good with short push. A few others that come into mind are Liang Jingkun (heavy af pushes loaded with underspin) who has won matches just with nasty pushes. I also really like Felix Lebrun pushes, he uses it as a weapon and gets really good spin out...
  3. Is short pips answer to receiving serves?

Yes spin reading is crucial regardless, but with anti i only need to have a rough guess as compared to a highly precise read if I were to use inverted. The really hard part is chopping and chopblock which is a foreign concept for most inverted players but it is just yet another skill to acquire...
  4. I want to try mid pips on BH. Can anyone give me some advice?

Yeah personally it gives me a fighting chance against ppl with much more advanced spin game than me. My goal is to upset an ex-pro some day haha. With anti I can drag them into the mud (ie uncomfortable, unfamiliar territory) and use their own spin against them. Whereas with double inverted...
  5. I want to try mid pips on BH. Can anyone give me some advice?

I got classic anti like Butterfly Super Anti and attacking with it is easy af, especially against underspin, but i can in fact do countertopspin with it. I would think frictionless anti be a lot more difficult to attack with. There is a whole spectrum of antis which all behave differently lol.
  6. How do I improve my backhand? (closed)

Alternatively, have fun with something like TTR-Killer - see below.
  7. Is short pips answer to receiving serves?

Lol antispin is what you want if you want easy af receives. I barely make mistakes receiving, but if I wanted to add quality (read:attack) then it is as risky as inverted imo.
  8. How to chop competently

Thanks! Those were useful. I also found one by Seo Hyo Won.
  9. How do I improve my backhand? (closed)

:( i had to join the dark side to defeat the dark siders....
  10. How to chop competently

Any good youtube tutorials on the basics and stroke, how to practice etc for how to chop properly (wrist, elbow, how to use body, etc...)? Would like to add this into my game now that I'm using anti. I'm currently almost hopeless at this stroke lol.
  11. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Played again (with the antispin setup). Was even against my LP/inverted penhold training partner. I realized that I can simply loop with the antispin to gain initiative. Or fake loop it to allow the spin reversal to kick in. Against him, pushing will only get me into trouble because he is...
  12. How do I improve my backhand? (closed)

Try watching Ti Long's video on how to use 2 finger lever arm (thumb and index finger) to brush the ball. My BH had a big jump after implementing it. Now I can even generate quite decent topspin with BH antispin (not even inverted!) which really surprises my opponents lol.
  13. HOT DAMN !!! This coach teaches FH Slow/Heavy loop exactly every key point Der_Echte values !!!

Hmm it depends on who you play against. i was referring more as a serve return. Even at intermediate level there are a lot of true double bounce serves which cannot be looped outright.
  14. HOT DAMN !!! This coach teaches FH Slow/Heavy loop exactly every key point Der_Echte values !!!

I think waiting for it to drop below the table is just a mental construct in order to wait for the ball to come to you, rather than rushing and reaching out for the ball. The exact height of contact doesnt really matter that much imo. Against half long imo it is better to assume it is short...
  15. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I won against a RC level 1600 ish coach this way, even after not playing for months (didnt expect it but it happened lol, I came close with 2 wing inverted but always lost at crucial moments for some reason). The way anti helped me massively is to return difficult deceptive spinny serves much...
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I just played a few matches using anti after a multimonth break. Anyway, the real funny thing is that I destroyed a few conventional players who had conventional strokes and the scores were not even that close. However, the weird thing is that it wasnt so easy winning against a few weird ass...
  17. UFO shot (ie BH topspin with FH side rubber)

Did some training and it does works, just that timing it is a pain, and will take quite a while to train it up. First thing is that you cant make this shot if your centre of gravity is higher, you absolutely have to be low otherwise the racket angle becomes too closed and it is not possible to...
  18. HOT DAMN !!! This coach teaches FH Slow/Heavy loop exactly every key point Der_Echte values !!!

Guy is Chen Hao from Fang Bo's Quanshibao team who had a league win against Aruna some time ago. He teaches very practical table tennis. I particularly like his fast long serve tutorial (both hook sideunderspin and heavy sidetopspin), i pretty much copied it and it works wonders. Shouts way...
  19. 🚨 What Is Your BIGGEST Problem In Table Tennis At The Moment?

At this age, just get LP or anti and you will be able to compete in the service game completely fine. If you're using 2x inverted, i would highly doubt you can ever return pro player serves well enough if they are trying to make it difficult for you. The sheer amount of spin is just on another...
