  1. H3Neo and Primorac Carbon

For you? Sriver or something slower.
  2. Help me find a new blade!

What level do you play at?
  3. H3Neo and Primorac Carbon

I personally think you'll regret the move to the Primorac. I don't think you'll instantly feel strokes are easier - If anything, you'll find it harder to keep the ball on the table. Unless you are dropping back significantly from the table, you'll find a close/mid distance loop will be similar...
  4. Can we tell how popular TT is

Looks like it's the same as Tin-Tin Ho? There will always be difficulties in getting a true rating - Especially with improving younger players. Take Ruby Chan for example. This year she lost to someone in my league who was ranked below her. Despite that person having an inflated ranking...
  5. Can we tell how popular TT is

It looks like she's around 2500 - Although it's hard to tell how accurate it is (the website is playing up at the moment). You often find juniors are quite significantly ahead of their true position. The system also benefits people who simply play matches. There are a number of people who are...
  6. H3Neo and Primorac Carbon

Do you have a rough level you play at? Can you loop consistently on the backhand and forehand? At a guess, I'd say the Primorac Carbon will be too quick. Where are you struggling at the moment? What parts of your game are you looking to improve? I wouldn't advise anything quicker than the...
  7. H3Neo and Primorac Carbon

Do you have any video of you playing online? MX-P on the Primorac will be fast...... very fast. Fine for mid distance/away from the table looping - But your short game will struggle. If you have any video, I can have a look and see. Cheers
  8. Can we tell how popular TT is

This is where life gets overly complicated (and why I believe someone needs to develop a universal system). The TT365 rating system has only recently come into play. Tin Tin Ho hasn't played in the local leagues recently, and therefore doesn't have a rating. Most of the "top" players in the UK...
  9. Can we tell how popular TT is

I know this particular topic has been done to death, but I also think having a universal ranking system will not only help at the start, but help keep people interested. The US, despite it's relatively small playing community are very vocal about their USTT rating - It seems to dominate the...
  10. Can we tell how popular TT is

I agree to an extent, but a lot of that will depend on good media coverage - The soccer example being perfect there. People follow a team, typically from a young age. You don't need to play the sport to follow the team, because you'll see the results in the news and watch the games on the TV...
  11. Upgrade Grubba to Xiom Off S vs. Andro Core Off vs. IF ALC (V-6)

Yep, 100% I actually tried my Garaydia ZLC again recently (having not played with it for a year, and it being pretty similar to the SC), and boy, it's such a joy to do big expansive forehand to forehand loops (or backhand). Mid distance, throwing some absolute bombs with a ton of top spin and...
  12. Whats the difference between the zjk alc and the zjk zlc and the szlc

Ok, but it was pretty damn close. The Harimoto has slightly thicker plies compared with the Innerforce ALC, but 99% is the same from the looks of things.
  13. Whats the difference between the zjk alc and the zjk zlc and the szlc

Wasn't the Freitas pretty much a rebrand of the Maze?
  14. Can we tell how popular TT is

This is actually another "issue" I'd say (certainly in the UK). People are coming to the sport later, as a retirement type activity. Don't get me wrong, it's great that they have something to do, but you need to get the juniors involved early on and keep them in the sport!
  15. Whats the difference between the zjk alc and the zjk zlc and the szlc

I'm still getting over the shock that their first Harimoto blade is, in Butterfly terms - Cheap! Unless they honestly felt they couldn't charge anymore for what is ultimately an Innerforce ALC, despite it being rebranded with the next big superstars name? But they charged a premium on the...
  16. Can we tell how popular TT is

The issue I see with "social" players is that they never contribute to a club, and end up playing with a mate or two at a local table somewhere. Similar to what @starsky said below, there are a number of outside tables and places in shopping centre (malls) where you can now play. They are...
  17. Upgrade Grubba to Xiom Off S vs. Andro Core Off vs. IF ALC (V-6)

For what it’s worth, the Schlager Carbon is a beast for looping away from the table. The issue I had with it was controlling the short game.
  18. Whats the difference between the zjk alc and the zjk zlc and the szlc

The ALC will feel most like the Ma Long 5. The ZLC will offer a bit more pop (I find the trajectory a bit higher with ZLC) and the super ZLC will make Butterfly feel like they are marketing geniuses (it’s not worth the money).
  19. Butterfly Tenergy 80 or Butterfly Tenergy 05?

OK, 2 things I want to say. 1. Great hair! ;) 2. Great t-shirt!
  20. Upgrade Grubba to Xiom Off S vs. Andro Core Off vs. IF ALC (V-6)

I actually think if you have a non spinny Chinese rubber, it's fine for a junior to learn the strokes (it effectively then becomes very similar to the junior pre made type bats). But as soon as you lean the strokes, unless you are being taught the Chinese style of attacking, you'll find life...
