  1. Yasaka Masamune

I don't think Aida uses R7, pretty sure he uses some Yasaka Dragon rubber (Shining or Rising Dragon 2?) on bh and Rakza Z Extrahard fh
  2. Best BH rubber for Butterfly Viscaria ALC with Dignics 09C on FH?

Thats something only you can determine, after trying it. Both are good rubbers and many players use them on Viscaria. You can speculate all you want and receive all the feedback in the world but until you actually try it you will never know for sure. The good thing about going for D05 in your...
  3. Best BH rubber for Butterfly Viscaria ALC with Dignics 09C on FH?

What happened to using the D05 on the bh? You were using it on your last setup so I think its a good idea to continue using it on your new one
  4. Donic BlueGrip C2 Review: An Unexpected Budget Alternative to Butterfly Dignics 09c

They are both Euro hybrids but at quite different ends of the spectrum. C2 is much harder than RZ, RZ is much stickier than C2. RZ has better feeling of dwell and arc generation but it lacks the penetrating quality C2 offers on hard shots. Whereas C2 is more direct, faster and meatier, but not...
  5. New Hugo rubbers from Joola

Its definitely fast but I wouldn't necessarily say its that bouncy, more like the trajectory is just long. For ex I felt rubbers like K3 and DragonPower 5.25 were more bouncy/slingy than Dynamic. To me, long trajectory rubbers that feel bouncy are like Tenergy, DNA Platinum- Dynamic is harder...
  6. Best Upgrade Path for My Three Rackets?

The Donic setup will probably be more technically demanding. Baracuda is heavier than Rozena and the Waldner Gold edition has a slightly oversized head, so the weight and balance is likely noticeably further towards the tip than the other two rackets. Baracuda also has improved grip and spin...
  7. Short Pips Forehand Weaknesses

Depends on who is more consistent. Blockers tend to have to vary placement and tempo (and can often utilize knuckle ball to greater effect from blocking) a lot more because in general they do not use as much speed so it can be annoying. But faster shots are always more threatening than slower...
  8. Timo boll spirit - surprised how good it is :)

TBS was the first Viscaria iteration, designed with a slimmer handle for Timo because the first gen Viscaria straight handle was fairly bulky. As with all Viscaria-likes, structurally they are all virtually identical, with most differences coming from manufacturing tolerances and the differences...
  9. Short Pips Forehand Weaknesses

Perhaps these matches of sp fh players would be helpful:
  10. New Stiga blades: Luma and i1

Any comparison to conventional outer blades like Viscaria? Stigas graph rates it on speed scale under Aura and Cybershape Carbon which are both inner, but above Carbonado 45 and Destiny
  11. Asymmetrical blades

Novelty and trends J suppose. A lot of bh dominant players like using outer and a lot of forehand dominant players like using inner. IIRC before Jorgic (idk if he actually does use his namesake assymetrical blade?) the last really good player to use an asymmetrical composition was Kong Linghui...
  12. A. Lebrun's blade

Hard for me to say. My clubmate had different rubbers (faster) on his Krypto Carbon than I am using on my FZDALC. It didn't feel as fast or as direct as my FZDSALC though
  13. A. Lebrun's blade

Definitely larger. Although both Viscaria and FZD have bigger handles than Boll ALC. I've hit with a clubmates Krypto Carbon for a bit and it felt more similar to FZD handle size
  14. The usual Backhand rubber - Something faster than C1??

I agree with that C1 is bouncier than R7, but hitting into both of them with more force I felt R7 provided more support where it felt C1 (especially since C1 is only available up to 2.0 and R7 is available in max) kind of plateaued a bit for me
  15. The usual Backhand rubber - Something faster than C1??

I generally don't use 2.0 rubbers unless they are only available with 2.0. I think 2.0 ACC would be fine because it is a decently fast rubber already, and the grip is pretty good. But I will always choose max
  16. The usual Backhand rubber - Something faster than C1??

I agree with R7, I think it is very close to a "faster C1" even though technically G1 is the harder version of C1. I am also using Tronix ACC on bh right now and think it is a great rubber though R7 is a bit steadier less bouncy than the ACC
  17. Viscaria ALC vs Fan Zhendong ALC help me decide (Dignics 09C / 05 setup)

They are basically the same blade. The FZD has slightly wider handle and is balanced slightly more towards the handle. You should physically hold both and see which one is more comfortable for you
  18. Best blade from Butterfly, DHS or Nittaku for Dignics 09C FH + Dignics 05 BH for an intermediate-advanced player?

Just put D09C onto your current setup. D05 and D09C are already really good rubbers and will play well no matter the blade you put them on If you don't like the blade anymore then it is really up to you to determine which direction you want to move coming from HALC. If you want a more direct...
  19. The unfiltered feeling of pips out rubber (or the trapped air problem)

I have some theories Short pips rubbers have less rubber contacting the ball (per design) to absorb impact and rotational force in comparison to smooth rubber. With smooth rubber, the ball is always interacting with the connected surface of the topsheet first, given that there is spin on the...
  20. Best budget rubber for BH?

Cheap, and it boosts well too
