  1. Garaydia ZLC Reviews?

GZLC is 7.1mm SC is 7.4mm Not sure on the individual plies. However, I can't stress enough just how much more feeling you have with the G ZLC - It will take me a while to fully get used to it, having played with the SC for 15 years (with no feeling!).
  2. Garaydia ZLC Reviews?

Hi EvilOctopus (what a name!). I haven't used the Garaydia T500 - The picture was the T5000 from my Schlager Carbon (but I've been told the Garaydia T5000 plays very similar). I've posted a short review of the Garaydia ZLC here -...
  3. NDH Looping with new Garaydia ZLC

Hey guys, Seeing as people seem to be in the mood for posting videos, I thought I'd join the party! Excuse the poor quality, 1080p was taking a year and a day with my slow internet - You'll have to accept 720p! For reference, I'm 6ft 4 (with a slight twinge in my back at the moment). This is...
  4. Garaydia ZLC

5 out of 5 rating for Garaydia ZLC Hey guys, this is my first review, so if there is anything I've missed out - Let me know! Just a note, I play with Tenergy 05 on Forehand and Tenergy 64 on the backhand. I have played with the Schlager Carbon (SC) for pretty much all my table tennis life (15...
  5. Garaydia ZLC Reviews?

Just a quick one before I disappear..... The first photo is the ZLC, the second is the Tamca 5000. Someone might correct me, but I believe the core of both blades is Balsa?
  6. Garaydia ZLC Reviews?

The Beast from the East has arrived....... Initially impression of quality....... Un......Be......Lievable! The handle is slightly rounder then my Schlager Carbon, which makes it feel a touch thinner in the hand. It's super super smooth - Which may not be to everyones tastes, and until I send...
  7. Garaydia ZLC

Review by 'NDH' on item 'Garaydia ZLC'

Hey guys, this is my first review, so if there is anything I've missed out - Let me know! Just a note, I play with Tenergy 05 on Forehand and Tenergy 64 on the backhand. I have played with the Schlager Carbon (SC) for pretty much all my table tennis life (15 years) - So this is what I have as...
  8. Ask Timo Boll a question on the TTD podcast!

Question for Timo: Outside of China, do Pro's believe there is a difference between Black and Red rubbers? I've seen him play points with both Red and Black on forehand.
  9. Ask Timo Boll a question on the TTD podcast!

Do the same as 10 of the last 14 points ;) Haha, other than that.... Be consistent.... I've seen people tend to try and play the glory shot to win..... Soon it becomes 10-6, then 10-8.... All of a sudden you are under pressure just to win the set. If you've won 10 points already..... Either...
  10. Guess the Rating

Hi Pricey. This should help - Although with the much bigger talent pool in the US, it's still not particularly accurate. http://www.experttabletennis.com/converting-usatt-ratings-uk-rankings/
  11. Guess the Rating

Completely agree. Firstly, it seems the majority of people weren't aware of your condition. It's then very difficult once you are made aware of your condition, to advise on anything (although if I recall..... You never actually asked for advice haha!). The second issue is the understanding of...
  12. Guess the Rating

Hi NL...... I think the whole "rate me based on this" is difficult for many reasons - Not least the apparent lack of understanding around how the US ratings work for us foreign folk!
  13. Guess the Rating

I'm sure NL will correct me if I'm wrong, but it didn't look like he was trying to absolutely crush the opponent..... I'd agree on the movement part, but as NL has explained, that's the bad knees kicking in (or not as the case may be!). Also..... You never see a decent player look good against...
  14. Tibhar Evolution is like Tenergy 05?

I echo what Carl said. It's similar in look and texture. It is also a little similar in basic forehand to forehand/backhand to back hand drills. However, in match play, it's vert different. The arc on the loop is significantly lower. It's not quite as punchy on the harder shots either. With...
  15. Share your club!

This is my small club in the UK! We recently received a grant from the local council for brand new tables/barriers/balls!
  16. Garaydia ZLC Reviews?

Well, I had a hit with the Garaydia ALC last night (I had Evo MK-P on both sides). I also hit with the JM ZLC (although sadly it had hurricane 3 on both sides, so very difficult to compare the 2 like for like). I found the Garaydia ALC to have quite a low throw angle (compared with both the JM...
  17. Vibration Property on Butterfly Matrix

The Garaydia ZLC has replaced the Amultart. Its the one I'm eyeing up next!
  18. Desperate cry for blade advice

I'd agree with all of that! The Garaydia T5000 is supposed to be a touch slower than the SC - Although without playing with it, I couldn't say for sure. The thickness is very similar (0.2mm different I believe) - But to all intents and purposes, the Garaydia replaces the SC as Butterflies...
  19. Desperate cry for blade advice

Before I start..... I'm starting to see people interpreting "buzz words" such as "feeling, hard, soft" all differently! Makes it difficult to follow at times. To continue what Carl has said, I've played with a Schlager Carbon for years. I would describe the "feeling" as soft - I've had it...
  20. Vibration Property on Butterfly Matrix

I've been thinking about this - I don't think "Vibration" can be simply replaced with "control". If you look at the matrix, you've got the Viscaria, Zhang Jike, Zhang Jike ALC, Timo Boll ALC, Time Boll Spirit as one dot. At the same speed or "reaction", you've got Zhang Jike ZLC and Timo Boll...
