  1. Are 5-ply wood blades more flexible than 7-ply (inner) carbon blades?

If I remember correctly he was using Tibhar Samsonov Blue for long time, should be able to also buy that one for cheap on used market.
  2. Are 5-ply wood blades more flexible than 7-ply (inner) carbon blades?

Hmm. You sound a bit like MOG. I think you might want to start of where he left. I've never played anti so I do not want to comment, but If I remember correctly stiffer better for anti and pips. There is a bunch of forum members more qualified to elaborate. I would start with thin 7 ply. Cheap...
  3. Are 5-ply wood blades more flexible than 7-ply (inner) carbon blades?

Would it be possible if: - you shared a video of you playing? You mentioned championships have ended for you, maybe by chance you have some league footage? - say how old are you? - do you struggle with accelerating the racket in the timeframe you have to make the stroke? - say what exactly...

    I actually asked, because I didn't know.
  5. A cheap way to improve on a daily basis.

I usually do 8 exercises combined from these 3 videos.
  6. A cheap way to improve on a daily basis.

One of the other things I want to mention is that it is really important to set the height of this tool correctly. I usually use my electric desk and then verify height with tape.
  7. A cheap way to improve on a daily basis.

Yeah. It does not solve most crucial thing in the stroke, namely timing. I currently use it for: - keeping my brushing contact (due to my health issues I cannot train as much as I want) - practicing dry footwork (previously I was just shadow swinging now I use this, I am buying a second one...

I know you are asking from player perspective, but maybe this article will be useful. https://ttgearlab.com/2023/04/04/stiga-cybershape-series-lab-test/ Apart from lab test, there are also playing impressions.
  9. Mizuno Q Quality a cheap and performant tensor that matches Tenergy 05 at half price

Hmm interesting. Shipping ~10€ Base price 28,55€ Vat 23% import tax 3% --------------- 36€ + shipping Still acceptable price. Provided the tax office won't force you to go through import company which is 25€ service... Might just be good enough I organize some sort of group buy.
  10. Mizuno Q Quality a cheap and performant tensor that matches Tenergy 05 at half price

Are you by chance from EU? I remember there are additional taxes on imports from Japan. One of my friends has a club mate from Japan, maybe he will carry this for me since he often flies.
  11. A cheap way to improve on a daily basis.

I bought similar tool to what is used in this video. I don't want to share link, because I don't want this post to be treated as advertisement. I even made similar one from scrap, you can also go that way if you want. The tool on Ali costs 10-20$ so I think anyone can afford it. I've been doing...
  12. Are 5-ply wood blades more flexible than 7-ply (inner) carbon blades?

I don't want to be mean, toxic or any other negative thing. But that is the greatest and most constructive advice you can get in world of table tennis. That being said. Instead of "go train" one should "go evaluate your own weaknesses, train to minimise them, repeat". Quality coaching has...

It might be beneficial if you write, which of the two players are you.
  15. Are 5-ply wood blades more flexible than 7-ply (inner) carbon blades?

From my experience stepping down to a light thin (sub 6mm) 7 ply blade is a very nice solution. There must be a reason why Victas/TSP swat is king of sales in Japan :p I switched to Tibhar Curious a long while ago. For now I am staying with it.

  17. Are 5-ply wood blades more flexible than 7-ply (inner) carbon blades?

Across my EJ journey If I learned anything, I learned that thickness and wood selection matter. I played with stiff thiccccccc 5 plies and thin flexible 7 plies. TBH. I would keep Innerforce. It's fine blade. If anything Baracuda does not scream control and all round. If you play in a club I...
