  1. Swedish Open 2011

can't believe it was all over in 4 sets... crazy performance by Ma Long, his FH was so incredibly powerful and spinny, nobody in the world could handle it.
  2. Zhang Jike Technique Compilation from a ZJK fan

I can never in my life serve this reverse pendulum with enough control. Always can't get the ball contact right...:( . In matches I use a reverse serve similar to Wang Hao's, it's so much easier to learn.
  3. Swedish Open 2011

Indeed, the final featuring the world's 2 best players, and shakehand vs penhold on top of that! Can't wait for the final, i'll have to stay up till 1:45am to watch it....
  4. Swedish Open 2011

I'm going to cheer for Ma Long! He should really be showing his dominance right now when he's officially out of the Olympic Singles name list. It's so unfair for him to miss out qualifying for the London Olympics Men Singles since he has been working so hard. Also, the Ma Long now is not the Ma...
  5. Swedish Open 2011

WLQ, please do not flick the ball. Wang Hao's too good at topspin rallies! Give him dead or sidespin funny balls to his middle! Stick to your tactics!
  6. Swedish Open 2011

Btw, Wang Liqin is playing perfect tactics against Wang Hao. Pushing deep into the middle to jam Wang Hao's BH, and then countering it strong to Wang Hao's deep BH or just plain attacking the weak cramped loop of Wang Hao. And with his serve, he's serving very short into Wang Hao's deep FH...
  7. Swedish Open 2011

I agree with you. His BH over-the-table loop and FH flick and 3rd ball attack are pretty deadly.... :D I take back what i've said about Ma Long not having a specialty. You're completely right...
  8. HI!

Hehe nice to meet all of you too!
  9. New Contest.

Frostmourne, the sword used by King Arthas in Warcraft III! Anyone who wields the sword will become a badass monster who will dominate everyone on court!
  10. Swedish Open 2011

actually i meant that part... yes! Though it was Ma Long who saved 7 game points and winning the game, I was surprised at how nervous both of them looked, Kirill missed 4-5 high ball smashes that should have gave him the match, and Ma Long just resorts to pushing even if it meant that the ball...
  11. Practice Techniques that Improve Your Skills

I totally agree with scylla24, if you are playing alone, the best way you have in improving is improving your serves. Put a book or something, or mark the table into sections, then aim your serve to get the perfect placement and pace. This will work wonders for your game. Another thing you can...
  12. Zhang Jike Technique Compilation from a ZJK fan

On request from Dan, I have reposted this technique compilation of Zhang Jike on Tabletennisdaily.co.uk. I have always been a big fan of Zhang Jike, and am always trying to copy his style. This thread is for ZJK fans who want more detailed analysis of his technique. The materials are all from...
  13. What has become of us..sigh!

This is what 60 years of Marxism coupled with capitalism brings us to. As a fellow Chinese, I find it very sad that greed and materialism and a just plain lack of strong moral conviction is just so common!
  14. HI!

Hi everyone! I'm Andrew(or blahness) and I'm from Australia, but with a Malaysian passport...:D I'm really crazy about this fantastic game of table tennis, and love analysing player's techniques and practising. I might share some of my thoughts from time to time when I do get some time off...
  15. William Henzell's Journey

As a fellow Melbournian resident, I wish you all the best in your Olympic campaign!
  16. Jun Mizutani Ghost Serve

Very helpful video and its amazing how much Jun's service curls visibly, must be really disorientating for his opponents....:D
  17. Timo Boll Illegal Serve

Timo Boll probably gets less of an advantage on his serves compared to everyone else. Even Maze earns a lot more points on 3rd ball attacks than him. His serves, along with Samsonov's are probably the most legal in the game. I wish he could bend the rules more to give him that extra advantage...
  18. Swedish Open 2011

I'm surprised that Wang Liqin got past ZJK! I'm just hoping that he will have a better score against Wang Hao than 0-4. On the other hand, Ma Long still tends to be conservative at critical moments, he just goes back to basic pushes, weak looping, BH serving and just doesn't try hard enough...
