  1. What glue do you use?

It does, just like the glues used by the blade manufacturers between plies. How many layers of glue matters too, pros are known to use 15-20 layers of glue on rubbers...
  2. What glue do you use?

I use BTY Free Chack II (2 layers on the rubber, 1 layer on the blade) and like it. The first type of Free Chack wasn't very good, didn't stick well. I've experienced the same difficulties with Nittaku Fine Zip, mostly because I'm not used to it, it's thicker and dries quicker. I think Free...
  3. Hello from Wiesbaden, Germany!

I'm in a similar situation as you having played the last 3 years in the US and having just moved back to France. I joined a really good club and team here in France, my level is good enough that they placed me in team 4 to start off before I move up to team 3, and hopefully higher divisions...
  4. Butterfly Timo Boll ALC Blade Review | Featuring Timo Boll

Hi Matt, I know you were playing with the Butterfly Apolonia ZLC since it first came out 2 years ago and until you recently got your sponsorship with Joola (Congratulations!). How many Joola blades and rubbers did you try before settling for your new current setup? Also, have you tried the new...
  5. Butterfly Timo Boll ALC Blade Review | Featuring Timo Boll

Finally watched the video! Wow, crazy to see how difficult Timo's spin makes it to return the ball, nice to see him go so hard on you Dan! And with a "vicious" and humble smile! haha. Thank you both for this great review.
  6. Best Yasaka rubbers?!

Got ya. Well I hope they get back to you and give you a new sheet asap.
  7. Best rubbers for Viscaria?

You can ask the stores if they have a 84g Korbel JP or Primorac OFF- JP in stock. Otherwise, the European versions of these 2 blades are still very good. Another Butterfly blade with the exact same composition as the Korbel JP but with the more standard head size is the Hadraw VK (always Made in...
  8. Best Yasaka rubbers?!

That sucks, sorry to hear/ Who is the dealer? Could have been an old sheet or the conditions they stocked it in. EWither way, I hope either them or Yasaka fixes your issue soon.
  9. Best Yasaka rubbers?!

It's a Chinese-style rubber so it's more FH prone. You need to produce more power in order to generate more power. I've also tried it on the BH and somehow it works well, slower but lots of control.
  10. Best Yasaka rubbers?!

    Excellent Chinese-style rubber!
  11. Best rubbers for Viscaria?

You'll probably like your FH loop even more with a 5-ply wood blade. I switched from Viscaria to Korbel and my loops feel great and produce a lot more spin, not to mention more control all around. If you can't loop well with Rakza 7 Soft 1.8 on your BH, it's probably your technique and a slower...
  12. Best Yasaka rubbers?!

That's good for beginners since it's slow, Rakza 7 is better once you've started to develop the right strokes and compete. And R7 Soft is a great BH rubber for those who prefer something a little softer on that side.
  13. Liu shiwen new blade

    What makes you say this?
  14. Best Yasaka rubbers?!

    Feels great with both R7 & R7S!
  15. Help w/ compositions of 3 blades

Hi everyone, I need help with the composition of the following 3 blades: - BTY Balsa OFF - BTY BalsaCarbo X5 (Basswood, Carbon, Balsa, Carbon, Basswood?) - Stiga Offensive Classic Carbon (Limba, Carbon, Spruce, Ayous, Spruce, Carbon, Limba?)
  16. Best Yasaka rubbers?!

Yasaka Sweden Extra, BTY Innerforce AC, BTY Viscaria...
  17. JOOLA Flash 40+ vs Nittaku Premium

You should try Nittaku SD 40+, better quality than D40+, same price as XSF (~$1 /ball). Available for TT11.
  18. Differences between Butterfly ALC blades?

I agree with you on Freitas vs. Boll. Also, Innerforce means the ALC layers are closer to the core rather than the outer ply, giving more feel and control but less speed.
  19. JOOLA Flash 40+ vs Nittaku Premium

All good points! On the other end, the Nittaku Premium balls probably come in the same horrible shipping container conditions as the XSF. Maybe part of the quality of ABS balls is that they can withstand the heat, thus also making them more durable?
  20. New blade - Tibhar Samsonov Quad Allround
