Same here. BS only better at third ball power loop. OS work’s better for most club level players 90% of the time 😂

What I’ve learned on Bilibili is that at the same hardness degree, OS is slightly bouncier than BS with low impact. But when you loop like ML BS will hold the ball for longer = greater catapult effect. Our local seller convinced me to stay with OS even it costs less.

Good question. I’ve heard something along the line that the BS is too dark with a red topsheet and the it will break the ITTF rule. LJK used 41 BS H3 on BH and OS Red on FH. He won many matches with his monstrous BH. Your theory is correct

With Felix yes, 7 sets gives ML plenty of time to test out different strategies. But with WCQ, 7 sets will be exhausting for ML. WCQ plays a power game, must be strength required

New HL5 and new 968 have the same design- thicker core and smaller head size. 968 has better quality of materials and more clear feel

I've owned 3 HL5 and 2 W968. It has evolved over time. The HL5 you are referring to is the old HL5 which plays really similarly to a hard 5-ply blade. The newer HL5 has thicker core and smaller head size = less flex and harder.

Lin hits the ball earlier than Harimoto. Speed is with Lin. Harimoto has to work really hard to beat Lin.

Commercial is infamous for its poor QC. It costs $20, might as well go for provincial OS at $33. Much more consistent sponge hardness and more lively. If you buy a Neo H3 provincial OS at 39 degree, it's soft and lively. You can play it for a few months before boosting.
