  1. Viscaria or Timo Boll Sprit

Pros, nice weight balance if you get one that is >88g. Not too fast, not too slow. Soft, beautiful ball feel. Not too stiff, in contrast to some composite blades. Pretty much a perfect blade. Most people like the handle. Cons. No longer made with ST handle except as a custom made blade...
  2. Viscaria or Timo Boll Sprit

I agree with the person who wrote that you should choose the handle you like. In FL I think the Viscaria handle is better but that's a matter of taste. The playing qualities used to be enough alike that after a day or two it doesn't matter. I have not tried a recently made TBS, though...
  3. Tenergy 05 vs Tenergy 64 backhand (plastic ball era)

I think this is true. If you are used to MX-P, and like the feel, it's not obvious T05 would be better for you. But if you do go with Tenergy, using a Viscaria, definitely go with T05 and not T64.
  4. Is there a vast difference in 'FEEL' between the different arylate carbon blades?

I also have a black tag one that is not exceptional, but the two other black ones I have are much much better. I also sold two earlier black tag ones (years ago) because they were not as good as I had hoped. They are not all perfect, that's for sure but you can always sell them and find a...
  5. Is there a vast difference in 'FEEL' between the different arylate carbon blades?

I almost got one of the Double Day. But I had already ordered the custom Viscarias, and had already bought some ZJK-ALC ST blades in the mean time (I have played with those before in FL, so knew approximately what I would be getting). If I had known about DD a bit earlier, I might have gone...
  6. Why doesn't Tim boll's FH and BH drives look attractive and effective in matches?

I don't quite understand this comment for a different reason. People never look as good in matches as they do in training since they are being pressured by the opponent and don't know where the ball is going, so why the poster would be surprised that this is true for Timo Boll also beats me...
  7. Bonjour from Paris

    Bienvenue!
  8. Is there a vast difference in 'FEEL' between the different arylate carbon blades?

I will know soon. I am having two new ST handle Viscaria blades custom made for me by Bty.
  9. Is there a vast difference in 'FEEL' between the different arylate carbon blades?

Nikoli, Part of the reason that I have quite a few of these blades is that I don't have a good system for getting a good one. I would order from a company, they would send me one and I would hope for the best. The problem is, I don't like many of the new ones, so the really good ones I have...
  10. Why are Evolution rubbers still less popular than tenergy?

I have another theory. I suspect that people who like ESN rubbers are split between a lot of relatively similar rubbers built along the same lines, including all the Xiom, Andro, Donic, Tibhar, and Joola brand competitors of Tenergy. On the other hand, Tenergy users may be a bit more Butterfly...
  11. Why are Evolution rubbers still less popular than tenergy?

And this is one reason why I prefer Tenergy. The large-pored ESN rubbers, or which IMHO Evo are the best, get their excellent performance in part by quite heavy factory boosting, and Tenergy does not. Consequently, you don't have to worry about airing the Tenergy etc. etc. Once the glue has...
  12. What online stores should I get my tt equipment from?

Depends in part on where you live.
  13. Why are Evolution rubbers still less popular than tenergy?

I have played with both. MX-P is the only rubber not named Tenergy 05 that I feel like I could use. I still prefer T05, not so much for performance, but for the why it feels when I hit the ball. Also, for me at least, I feel like T-05 retains its performance a bit longer. Still, it does...
  14. Is there a vast difference in 'FEEL' between the different arylate carbon blades?

I am not sure I would use the word "test" because that would imply I actually measured something scientifically and I haven't done that. I have about eight Viscarias and two TBS that I have collected over about a ten year period, plus a couple of ZJK-ALC. Both TBS have black tags, and they are...
  15. European Loop vs Chinese Loop?

Thought for the day, for people thinking about their arm. From The Unfettered Mind (written by Takuan Soho, a zen monk, written for a samurai swordsman, hundreds of years ago) Where to put the mind? I answered, "If you put it in your right hand, it will be taken by the right hand and your...
  16. Is there a vast difference in 'FEEL' between the different arylate carbon blades?

Vast? No. But they are different. Don't underestimate the importance of handle shape and weight, that is the main difference but it can be quite large. People sometimes figure that if the underlying blade is similar, that is all that matters. Not true. The handle shape matters a lot. When...
  17. Matches Filmed from the Side

It is insane how good elite pros are. The point around 7:13 to 7:30 --- incredible.
  18. Matches Filmed from the Side

Very interesting. I would also be interested to see more from that side.
  19. Short pips for FH due to shoulder injury, suggestions

Yep. At the end of the day, since I never really learned a proper SP stroke, because I was using Raystorm as a "transitional crutch) I went back to inverted (I used SP on my BH). Oddly enough, once I got used to inverted again, my BH was improved! I have no idea why. I never used SP on FH...
  20. 3 star 40+

1 out of 5 rating for 3 star 40+ I bought balls from an Aliexpress vendor and DHS says they have improved the material they use. Fortunately I only bought 6 of them. The weight was an average of 2.76 grams with small variance. This is identical to XSF and Butterfly G40+, a little more than...
