  1. Should I seal the viscaria I'm getting off of megaspin?

The only thing hair spray does to the blade is protect it from splintering when I change the rubber. It is like sealer, but it has no effect whatsoever on how the blade plays. You have to be really careful with a lot of sealers because they can make the top surface of the blade harder...
  2. Should I seal the viscaria I'm getting off of megaspin?

I use hair spray before i glue. I don't seal.
  3. The butterfly viscaria.

Fish scale Viscarias? The best one I have has that appearance (and a black tag), but one that I have nearly as good does not. I have had more Viscarias than most people, and I am not entirely sure it matters. Most important is weight. 88-93 grams is best. Some newer ones can be quite light...
  4. The Advanced Response Blade - The Future of Table Tennis Now! - by Anthony.R.Brown

Here in Texas it has been said that if you wrestle with a pig the only thing that happens is you get muddy and the pig likes it.
  5. Viscaria vs alc

I find this incredibly unlikely to be true. I have been buying Tenergy from Megaspin (and Butterfly blades also) for many years. I have also moderated TT forums for a long time. I have never, not even once, heard of Megaspin selling fake equipment. If you live in North America what you get...
  6. Butterfly Garaydia Blade Series Review

SOmeone had one at the club yesterday. It is really really thick compared to a Viscaria or ZJK ALC.

  9. Ma Long's Forehand

She is possibly my favorite player of all time, man or woman. She was flawless.
  10. The Advanced Response Blade - The Future of Table Tennis Now! - by Anthony.R.Brown

Oh for Jeebus' sake, what tough question did you want asked that wasn't? The only important one was, "show us a video of the thing being used". No other question matters. And it was the first one asked and it has been asked repeatedly on three different forums. However, it is painfully...
  11. Ma Long's Forehand

Nothing wrong with using pros to model shots you need to make. Trick is to pick the right ones! Personally I think a lot of amateur male players would be better off studying top women more than top men. They should also be looking at guys like Appelgren and Persson and Samsonov.

At your request, I have restored your account at MyTT. The condition is that you must apologize for your comment about Yellow Monsters on the Ma Long vs Fan Zhengdong thread, as you did in your last message to me, and state that you will not make future racist comments. If you do not do this, I...
  13. Stiga Sense 7.6 vs Butterfly Viscaria

Go with the Viscaria. Best balanced blade in existence, it is not a matter of being FH or BH dominant, it suits either side. I know plenty of FH dominant loopers who use Viscaria and other very similar Btfy ALC blades. Try to get one that is not too light.
  14. Ma Long's Forehand

It's all in the complete and total commitment to weight transfer during the shot. That is the essence of it. Everything else is a detail. But easier said than done. You had better be in perfect position at the start of the stroke in order to be able to transfer the weight that vigorously...
  15. Which poly ball should you choose?

Main feature of the Butterfly G40/Weener ball is its very smooth surface, which makes it different from any other 40+. This feature makes it fly much straighter and faster through the air. It has a tendency to give strange bounces once it gets a bit worn. The smooth surface means that spin...
  16. The new plastic balls giving off dust

It depends a bit on balls. I like the Nittaku Premium Japan 40+ the best overall but they are dustiest. G40+ is the least dusty, almost dust free. Others are kind of somewhere in between.
  17. Playing conditions

I actually like it when it is a bit cooler in the room. But where I live, it is rare.
  18. Which poly ball should you choose?

Yes, the Easy Ball is my favorite plastic non-ITTF approved ball.
