  1. How 2023 🏓 is going so far

Started a new schedule of workout. Lots of core and leg work. It's paying off as my back and knee pain are easing up.
  2. Dignics 09c vs tenergy 05 on fh an dignics 80 on bh

I've played D09C and D05 on BH. D05 is faster. 09C is spinnier. I prefer 09C because it gives me more control. 09C is also heavier than D05
  3. Boosting on hurricane 3 national 41 degree

Never used Falco. I put 3 layers of Seamoon booster sandwiched by glue. Standard boosting technique used in China
  4. Blade recommendations

Hurricane Hao 2. Pricey but really really good feel. It’s a bit faster than Acoustic due to the Koto top ply
  5. DHS W968 review

It's a very general question. W968 is FH oriented - more catapult and higher max speed than Vis. Vis excels in close to table BH oriented play style.
  6. DHS Hurricane 3-50 vs 8-80

I have used Vega X which is faster than H8-80. R7 is a bit slower than Vega X.
  7. Do any pro players out there use one ply blades?

I sold one before. I have two left. One is a very old Darker SP90 (before Japan banned hinoki harvest). This piece of wood is at least 300 years of age. Another one is Double day, but still Japanese hinoki. Come to Hamilton and you can try for sure 😁
  8. DHS W968 review

That’s a good point! 👍 Arguably their 42 degree H3 can produce top speed higher than most other rubbers.
  9. DHS W968 review

In 2021 I bought an old W968 (the oversized one). This is the first blade I’ve used continuously for over 12 months (EJ virus 🦠 cure hopeful 😁) Tell me about it, I get addicted to the catapult effect when I power loop on FH (41 degree blue H3). It’s such a pleasant feeling. The shot just shoots...
  10. Do any pro players out there use one ply blades?

Single ply hinoki (esp Japanese old hinoki) has manh gears. They are thick, usually 10mm or 10.5mm. They create the catapult effect in a very different mechanic from multi-ply blades. Think of the single ply hinoki as a thick bed mattress with springs inside. A 7kg child jumping on it —>...
  11. Are the rest of the World catching China?

Way too much reliance on the top 5 for the last decade - ML, XX, FZD, LJK and LGY. The rest of Men's team was given very little chance on the international stage. I watched a video analysis on Bilibili once, they calculated the number of matches. They concluded youngsters in Europe such as the...
  12. New Cpen and rubbers need some help

Cybershape is quite a step up from Hybrid in terms of power and speed. If you step up the rubber too much, it might mean more disaster than good. FH - why not try T05 2.1mm. It’s quite a bit faster than T05 1.9mm. Short pip - I played spin pip 1.9mm on my RPB. Light, fast, insensitive to...
  13. DHS W968 review

In Chinese forum, they talked about the flexibility and top gear of ALC vs ZLC. ALC works well with CNT as most use boosted H3. H3 is designed for power looping. Power looping requires some flexibility of a blade. Hence ZLC is just too hard for Chinese looping style. Apparently ALC differs...
  14. Andro Synteliac

    On sale on TT11 https://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/andro-synteliac-vci-off
  15. New Cybershape from STIGA

I like large handle. I might order one.
  16. DHS W968 review

FZD just switched from Stiga to Butterfly about a year ago (officially). FZD has played Golden Vis for a few years with great results. You can tell he's still adjusting to FZD ALC (much softer than Golden Vis) - more FH, more side stepping, a little further away from table etc. FZD isn't as...
  17. DHS W968 review

LGY plays very close to the table. He benefits from outer ALC. Even the hardest W968 is still softer than the softer outer ALC.
  18. DHS W968 review

People said FZD ALC has the longest dwell time among all the outer ALC blades. Some even said FZD ALC plays very much the same as W968. Can you comment on the catapult effect, feel and dwell time between W968 and FZD ALC?
  19. DHS W968 review

    You are talking about HL5X
  20. DHS W968 review

Everyone in the CNT is using the newer W968 for the harder feel and faster speed.
