Apology Fang Bo ALC is inner ALC. H3 Neo has been THE fh rubber in millions of Chinese players for two decades. You can’t go wrong with that. Just pick a 39 degree sponge to start with. 40-41 degree might be too hard for a beginner. BH rubber has too many choices.

First Tibhar Hybrid K series, followed by D09C and Rakza Z. Now Victas. It seems tacky rubber has a growing market. I hope something will be able to completely replace H3 provincial/national eventually.

H301 is inner ALC with a koto top ply. It will give you more than enough power. But your technique must be good to access the power. Outer ALC such as DHS Bo carbon is easier to play.

In terms of top-gear spin, H3 BS or Tau2? Also, which one gives a lower second bounce in top spin rallies?

If you like mid distance top spin, YEO might lack the power. Stiga Intensity would suit you.

Eternity is a very hard wooden blade. It might be a significant jump for you. You will gain a massive amount of speed but lose a hell lot of control. Many wooden blades for penhold are well tested. Yasaka YEO, Stiga intensity and DHS Hao 2 are safe step ups from your old blade.

If you play 1-2 sessions a week, a Provincial H3 can last approximately 6 months. I assume you will buy the Neo version which is of better quality. You only need boosting at the start and every 3 months after.

You have to ask yourself what you want from the rubber. Do you want speed? Control? Spin? In short, the only rubber that has more spin than H3 is TG2. If you want spin, go for H3. If you want control, go for STN it has better feel and control. If you want speed, just go for an ESN rubber.

All Battle 2 and all Target versions are less spinny than H3 provincial.

It is quite likely. In the 3rd and 4th game ML barely used his FH attack. He's 32 and his chance of winning rapidly goes down after each game.

My 1990s Hans Alser and Black tag Korbel feel so much better than my expensive Stiga 190. My old Long V (~2015) feels better than new Long V. I agree that aged wood give you a better feel.

Why not hard wood on 5 ply? Such as Rosewood V, Nostalgic Off? Or the cheaper options include Yasaka Gaibao. These ones have better flex and better for looping than 7-ply.

Do you think that’s because Lin is relatively weaker than ML, XX, LJK? Does Wang Chuqin use H3 on BH?

It's pretty hard to judge by the screenshots. But I notice FZD's blade is incredibly thin. Rumour says he's using a Viscaria with a Infinity handle right?
