Soft tacky rubber has high arc on RPB. If you use a soft flexible blade, it won’t work as the ball will fly high and far. Soft tacky rubber works well with hard blade such as Rosewood V, most outer ALC blades.

I have played RPB in both styles for a significant amount of time. Jpen RPB has the advantage of stable punching and blocking due to the more stable finger positioning. However you lose the flexibility in banana flick.
