Adding speed to the preparation is not as important as making sure that your backswing is being done while you move so that your end up in a position ready to take the shot (backswing complete) when you land. It actually looks good, but I would encourage you to be aggressive about the...

I wouldn't go as far as "no chance", the scoreline was convincing but Chen didn't look as sharp as he did in January, maybe the pressure of already having beaten Harimoto and being expected to do it again put more pressure on him. Harimoto played well and placed the ball better, but CYY made...

Nah, he just doesn't know how to use the Harimoto SALC. The women use it better than he does. Miwa will not throw it away, she will just work with Miyu and Satsuki and show him how to use it lol.

Hari-boy missed the assignment description and tried to play like he was fighting Fan for the WTTC lol.

Nah, it was mostly about the luck of the draw of facing Togami... he has beaten the players he is usually supposed to beat and for familiarity reasons, it is even harder against Togami. Those of us who are higher rated than our opponents who sometimes beat us with high risk styles know this...

These 1800 Japanese players are really tough.

It looks like that because it isn't extremely powerful on most shots but if you take a slightly different perspective and look at where his points come from, you might see it differently. Qiu Dang wins a lot of points of blocks and backhand counters, but Chen actually likes to open over the...

Agreed. I would argue that his forehand is actually extremely high level and his backhand is adequate. Just not powerful. But his spin level is tremendous especially on forehand.

How old is Kuo now?

Yes, but it isn't so much the aggression (Darko is not even that aggressive, he is also very much into control despite his bomba backhands and third balls, and neither is LJK who just spins the ball but takes advantage of his physical ability to do it with more quality than most) as in that Tomo...

Overwhelming Harimoto with power is not something most mortals can sustain, the people who can do it (WCQ, Hugo). And he reads spin to well for Gauzy's variations to work. It's just a bad matchup for Gauzy, he can't play with enough placement and precision at high speeds to make it work for a...

Miyu needs a pivot movement on serve that would have made the match an easy 3-0.

The umpire is useless...

Well Miyu has to do a better job of not Xunyao go full power forehand. That's why she is always going long to the backhand. She knows she will usually get a chance to launch the forehand.

Nagasaki's ball striking is so picture perfect. Makes you wonder why she doesnt have 3 world championship titles already lol. She has already made Butterfly take more of my money. Miwa, Tomo, learn from Miyu how to use your blade lol.

Togami felt sorry for him lol...

I watched the match highlights and his problem was that Robles plays the exact same style as him lol. Huang likes to overwhelm you with slow spinny attacks with spin drives mixed in and Robles is a specialist with the same style. In the beginning, Huang had the upper hand and a big lead in...

Be nice, he turned 22 today. Wish him Happy Birthday at least before repeating the same old stuff...

It's crazy that Yang Haeun is only 31. I think she came to Philly for 2016 Women's World Cup.

How did Robles beat Huang lol?
