Putuntica is deceptively strong and he was playing at home as well. Togami also had the pressure of playing in the Ochenhausen #1 spot...

Switch and don't listen to anyone per se. If you are training and getting coaching, then the hours you put in and your willingness to master the blade are thr most important things. The blade might be too fast for you but that is about feeling ans preference and not about your experience or...

Your stroke is good, I can't see anything obviously wrong at a basic level, it just looks to me a bit tense and you do not get a lot of whip on the backswing, which makes me believe you are using your hands too tightly rather than using them like a whip. I would try to be more aggressive on the...

I have always found the complaints that it isn't Shellberry to be pretty pedantic. Though Shellberry isn't technically correct, it is much closer than many of the people who complain assume.

For me, all this tournament and ranking stuff is cool, but WTTC performance is the benchmark.

Steger is still a national team level player, if he was young and willing, he would still be battling for a team spot. No shame in the loss.

Waldner was also a big game player, it can be easy to forget this. Nothing wrong with only performing well at the biggest tournaments even if unfortunately you aren't winning the titles.

I think he still has to show that he matches up well with Harimoto and Felix. He also hasn't played the revamped Moregardh.

The player who should answer that question (FZD) is still on vacation. Of course both LSD and FZD are prodigies, but LSD needs to beat FZD in the way that FZD couldnt beat ML.

Come on, have faith in Ban and Rassenfosse...

I hear you, LYJ is also a serious player and he got handled convincingly. But Kallberg beats Harimoto who beats LSD. So I guess tomorrow will tell the true story lol....

Going through a lot right now. Finished playing the minor league TT league and struggled through a few matches. Had a good team but we had a player that just didn't know how to hit the ball. This led to too many situations where when playing equal or better players, he would get put away...

LSD is the favorite for sure but Anton when he is on is a machine. It used to make me feel bad for him when he was the best player in the TTBL and then he was struggling on tour. Happy he found a way to get to a better balance. China doesn't have a monopoly on fast, technical table tennis...

Maybe I need to revisit the Trinity but the Super Viscaria is really good. Maybe you should consider the Zhou Qihao blades if price is an issue? I think the Viscaria Super ALC does something special by having more speed and similar feeling to a regular Viscaria. I am not 100% sold on the...

Rassenfosse not convincing?

When the ball toss is lower, the angle of incidence of the server in generating spin and ball flight is different. The server can generate ball trajectories that would be harder to do if the ball were tossed higher. Tosses into the racket create forward rebound and easier topspin for example...

My point is that photoing the height without showing the whole serve especially when backward tosses raise the height requirements is bad form. In fact one of the easier things for umpires to judge which is relatively difficult for people to see on camera is backward tosses on serves where the...

Ovtcharov usually has a significant backward toss regardless of height or reason given for the fault. But everyone is entitled to their own outrage. It's part of the reason why I don't discuss the serve rules too much because illegal and dodgy serving has been normalized to a point where an...

The umpire is allowed to dault shady tosses per the rules. Now Ma Long seems close to retirement, there might be a chance. The reality is that people may not like what happens to the quality of serve return once hidden or dodgy serves are no longer possible. Returners have a lot of...
