  1. Rakza 7 vs DHS Gold Arc 8 (47.5)

in my experience, Rakza 7 is the lightest of all the rubber I have tried so far, except for Yasaka Rakza 7 Soft (dooh) and Xiom Vega Asia DF (this is one light rubber). I tried: Rakza 9 Donic Bluegrip S1/C2 Donic Bluestar A1/A2 (are there rocks hidden somewhere in this rubber?) Donic Acuda P2...
  2. Xiom Omega 8?

after all the reading it seems worth waiting for O8C or O8H ... might be the right rubber for my backhand ... but then again, I messed up my open-up topspin and loop stroke so bad that I first have to un-mess it first and then maybe even 30 years old Sriver rubber will be okay ...
  3. Xiom Omega 8?

and how is Vega Pro H? I read a lot about it, from being great BH rubber to being slow and useless … :ROFLMAO:
  4. Xiom Omega 8?

thanks. I read about this somewhere that these rubbers will be one thickness only, but that's because of the 4mm limit, if I understand correctly. nevertheless, I am playing with Omega 7 China Guang on forehand and it is marvelous, was afraid 2.1 would be too thick, but it's really good...
  5. Xiom Omega 8?

on official European Xiom page, Omega 8 China & Hybrid have 52.5 declared sponge hardness. but I read that Xiom many times writes wrong data, even in catalogues …
  6. Xiom Omega 8?

ok, we don’t understand each other but maybe that’s for the best as obviously there is another rubber that might be okay for my needs (even better with 50 hardness) … I am talking about Omega 8 China and Omega 8 Hybrid. these both have, as per official Xiom page, 52.5 sponge hardness (which...
  7. Xiom Omega 8?

didn’t know that. they are all listed on official page and thought they are already available … any idea when these two would be available? thx!
  8. Xiom Omega 8?

I know all that, Asia DF is soft (too soft, unfortunately) and China Guang too hard, at least for BH. I am looking for a bit harder tacky rubber, and yes, I mixed up names - what I meant is Hybrid and China, as they seem to be 52.5 both …
  9. Xiom Omega 8?

anyone tried the Omega 8 Hybrid? currently I am playing with Vega Asia DF on backhand and it is became way too soft as I started to get my backhand back. on forehand I have the China Guang and sometimes I flip the blade and play with CG on backhand but it is a tad too hard - with 52.5 sponge...
  10. Medium hard rubber for backhand

haha, well, to be honest, I did that in late 1990's ... ;) not world stage, but yes, represented my country internationally, albeit for a short time, but I got the idea what it feels like. I think those times are gone, even though I have much better self-discipline and calmer train of thought...
  11. Medium hard rubber for backhand

hehehe, just asking, because everyone is talking about xyz rubber boosted and a couple of days ago I read about boosting being illegal, that's why I asked. thanks for clarifying! :)
  12. Medium hard rubber for backhand

since you mentioned it - I see a lot of talk about boosting - but isn't boosting illegal, as per ITTF?

    Anybody seen my backhand? 🙈

    Anybody seen my backhand? 🙈
  14. Medium hard rubber for backhand

that's what I was thinking about. but before that, I tried Rakza 7 Soft (which is similarly soft as Vega Asia DF) and it was okay (albeit on a different blade) ... so maybe it is blade-rubber combo. I know I have one relatively new Donic Bluegrip S1 which has a bit harder sponge if I am not...
  15. Medium hard rubber for backhand

it's 10 days old. ball still sticks to the rubber. plenty of grip and tackiness still there ... ;) if I think about it - I have a feeling, that I have to fight the rubber a bit, like it has no forgiveness at all ...
  16. Medium hard rubber for backhand

quick thought. after initial satisfaction with Xiom Vega Asia DF this is a bit fading now. even though I prefer soft(er) rubbers on my backhand, I am not gonna believe I will be saying / writing this - I think this rubber is TOO soft. for most of the game, this rubber is really nice. great...
  17. Replacing rubbers for the first league.

what we did back in the days - we had a practice set of rubber and competition set of rubber. practice set of rubber would be what it says - practice rubber. it would be 2 or 3 sets of differently worn rubber which I / we would use during practice. one set would also be used prior to the...

    GEWO Select Pro 40+ ***

A great quality table tennis ball made of ABS plastic with seam. Harder, but with a very good bounce and good roundness.
  19. Premium 3 star 40+

Review by 'Yurifi' on item 'Premium 3 star 40+'

this is the ball I love playing most with. bounces good, are always proper round and are also very durable. I wish they were a bit more affordable.
  20. Medium hard rubber for backhand

I think you are completely right ... on the other hand, I am really trying to find that right feel for my backhand ... but yeah, maybe I should just leave it as is ... truthfully, a different rubber won't help me much, if I don't even manage to hit the ball on may backhand during open-up loops...
