  1. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

sorry, there must be some kind of language barrier between us, I am not provoking, not at all, I just want to understand what you mean. 😀 at least in regards to handle and wings - because I have no idea how handle and wings would affect playability. the shape of the head (bigger head) and...
  2. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

well, to be completely honest ... I don't exactly know, what do you mean, too ... what has handle, with wings, to do with reworked gluing, high throw and inner and outer construction?
  3. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

yeah, I have it on my back up blade (well, now it is a back up back up blade, I guess) and was planning to put it on for next week, today I will be re-evaluating the blade with Rakza Z ... Vega Pro H was amazing and my go to rubber on TMXi and will try it with ALX, too, definitely.
  4. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

already the regular TMXi has quite thin external layers, at least in comparison to other inner blades ...
  5. Substitution for Stiga Radical

I am doing a research for my team-mate, who is currently playing with Stiga Radical, which is not available anymore - which short-pip rubber would be a good substitute for this rubber? Stiga has Symmetry now, but I have no idea, if this is just modernised Radical or something completely...
  6. Any news and info on Zhang Jike's New donic bluegrip j line?

looking forward to some thoughts about the ZJK new era blade, too ... ;) btw - just shortly about Rakzas - currently I am playing with Rakza Z and am thinking about Rakza Z Extra Hard - what are the main differences (except for harder sponge ...). thanks!
  7. Any news and info on Zhang Jike's New donic bluegrip j line?

wait, faster than A1? Donic Bluestar A1? I played for a few minutes with A1 and had to change it as it was absolutely too fast for me and I really didn't like that ... so J2 apparently won't be a good fit for me, unfortunately ...
  8. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

I jumped the wagon and bought Xiom Hugo ALX Pro Supreme ... I put on Hurricane 9 Violet and Yasaka Rakza Z, I asked for a heavier blade so mine has 86g, ST handle, with both rubbers fitted it is 193g, balance is actually quite good. I only played one practice session with it so far, and first...
  9. Xiom Omega 8?

probably one of Joola's rubbers ...
  10. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

true, valid point. not a professional anymore, but still playing on rather high level (also practicing with kids, U14 and U16 and sometimes you really have to be on top of the game to be able to play with them properly). I had a good blade, but it was vibrating too much ... so I got TMXi which I...
  11. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

thanks a lot!! interesting, faster than moonbeam! I thought it is much much slower ... honestly, I wanted the HAL blade for so long, and now that it's available, Hugo ALX Pro is discounted, too and am in doubts ... and am going back and forth and back and forth. and, on top of that - I am...
  12. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

about HAL - how does it play, actually? it was said to be a nice replacement for Moonbeam, but looking at some "numbers" in tests I see, there are differences ... asking someone who actually played with the blade, not just had it in the hand for a few minutes ... :giggle: how does it play? is...
  13. Question for H3 users

I mean, it is quite logic - you are adding stuff to the rubber … so they do get heavier. it’s the same with glue …
  14. Question for H3 users

today I tried the H3N again (commercial 38 orange sponge), but not on my prime blade but on a reserve blade. and it is, much slower, you need to work with H3N much more (even though my backup blade is quite springier and bouncier, even faster than my main blade). spin was same, but I always...
  15. Question for H3 users

I played one longish session with H3N, commercial, 38 degrees. like TensorBackhand said, H8 is a bit faster, but also more elastic. it’s not as ”brickey”. I would dare say H8 40 plays softer, plays like H3N 38, but that could be due to factory boosting. it’s not catapulting or anything it’s just...
  16. Question for H3 users

forget about Hurricane 3 (Neo) and go for Hurricane 8. I went for Hurricane 8 40, because everyone suggested that H8 is playable even without boosting. I really don’t want to mess with boosters and stuff … after two weeks, I like it, I like it a lot. starting to fall in love … 🙈 but - I have a...
  17. Help with hurricane 3

ok, I got Hurricane 8 40 and Hurricane 3 Neo 38 Commercial. I really don't like fiddling with boosters - I already hated speed gluing because it was hard to get same result everytime and I have this feeling it is the same with boosters. I actually did want to boost H3N, just for the sake of it...
  18. Xiom new collection (2025)

    looking forward to this!!

  20. What is the most important area to jump from 1900 to 2100?

well … and I would definitely say fitness and stamina. when you start feeling muscles, when tiredness kicks in … that’s way past your top mentality level, because brains get tired even sooner. when muscles start eating up more oxygen, you brain don’t get as much as needed and then everything...
