  1. Zhang Jike - How to play the Backhand Flick

Funny how things come around in the fullness of time. My friends and I used to play that shot when we started out as beginner players in the sixties. We unlearned it as we became 'proper' players. I guess I must now go learn it again;)
  2. Cornilleau Target Pro and the spinny push

It's not a particularly difficult stroke with any rubber. Go on a robot, or having someone serve spinny and short to you. Within 10 strokes you'll be making 2 or three bounce returns. However, I have never seen anyone do that 'ghost retirn' until that video. I don't believe that it is easier...

  6. BREAKING: Ma Long & Fan Zhendong boycott CHINA OPEN!

It strikes me that the players are a bit naive. But that comes with having LGL running your life (in a good way) from before pubescence. Breaking that attachment was too much for them. Let's hope that CTTA/Govt can work this out without too much bother.

  12. Why single-ply hinoki not popular in plastic ball era

I have never experienced the water absorption problem. But now I have a new excuse for losing those 5-setters. However, I don't use water based glue, only the old style VOC glue which helps, I think. But you are correct about them getting softer. My 2x AHinoki blades actually became smaller and...
  13. Why single-ply hinoki not popular in plastic ball era

To me, switching or trialling 10mm 1-ply blade needs a substantive period of adjustment chiefly because of the thickness. But once hooked, there's no turning back. It's the fastest blade around yet with so much basic control. But I'm not certain if us Users are hooked on the blade itself or the...

I also have ordered from them several times and had excellent service. But Estonia? Although I had no problems, I had this view that Estonia was some fairly backward ex-Soviet state sort of thing. That is until I saw this:
  19. What is your second passion?

Don't forget to tell about your motorsport past. Many years ago I once marshalled at ?elephant rally which I think you won. I remember it clearly as I had to stand in the pouring, freezing rain for hours and all by my lonesome.
  20. Is Tenergy slowly losing its position at the top?

Sure you can. But boosted rubbers tend to equalise themselves. so a boosted Tenergy does not have the technical advantage over a boosted MXP as much as when they are not boosted. If you see what I mean. Or so say the gurus on here.
