  1. DHS Inner Carbon Blades Comparison: Sun Yingsha, Wang Chuqin, Long 5 & B2X

Their training sheets may be. They look identical and seem to perform basically the same. Granted the differences may be small enough that no normal player, be it amateur or semi-pro, can tell when they try them compared to the actual real ones. The sheets for matches seem to be different. They...
  2. DHS Inner Carbon Blades Comparison: Sun Yingsha, Wang Chuqin, Long 5 & B2X

DHS pro blades aren't numbered by quality. They're numbered by production order. The "lower number is better quality" is a fabrication made by the retailers. All of the higher grade DHS National rubbers are made in the DHS Institute, so they're not any different in that way. The only thing...
  3. DHS Inner Carbon Blades Comparison: Sun Yingsha, Wang Chuqin, Long 5 & B2X

They don't number them by grade, they number them by production order. Ma Long just always played with a #1 blade because he just took the first one from each day's batch to test at the start of the year, nothing complicated about it. EDIT: Also, all sponsored players and all of the A-team...
  4. GLUE - Does the brand of glue i choose make a noticeable difference ?

Tried Zero Degree just now; somehow it's easier to work than SUKE (doesn't become solid when going over it again with too little glue) but it also dries very fast on the blade. Taking a bit longer than SUKE on the sponge, at least from what it looks like. If it removes well then I don't think I...

Have you tried just moving backwards when you see it's coming long to your backhand? I feel like if you have your nuts to the line then it will jam you up no matter what kind of god-level shot you can do. :P This isn't my idea, I stole it from some video, but I can't remember which one. That...

It's about time to put the commercial H3 sheet onto a backup blade again, so I measured the Provincial 41A, and it does confirm that my "40A" commercial sheet was some freak example. It must be 42 or 43 hardness in reality. :P Weirdly I found it very easy to get speed out of, and I don't really...
  7. 2.9 mm sponge thickness... Why?

It's <4.10mm, and it has to be relatively flat too, although I don't know the tolerance for that. I'd be surprised if commercial rubbers pass it, though. It seems really tight.
  8. Is this a let/Illegal?

I'd just wait until the ball is out of play until doing anything extra. I've won a few points where the opponent gets a net popup and stands up and raises his hand to apologize, while I'm in my loop backswing! At least they've never protested it. :P

  10. Loki RXTON 9 new sponge.

Boosted Dianchi D (with the factory booster still fresh) is still noticeably worse than boosted H3 although it's not as drastic.
  11. Loki RXTON 9 new sponge.

That was my experience with a lot of "H3 replacement" rubbers. Dianchi D to now is the closest, but it's visibly less elastic at high swing speed especially in counters against topspin. Shame if Rxton 9 is the same. I wonder why? Softer sponge that's more forgiving at medium speed at the...

Those are probably only the people who have played in National tournaments. Just in the clubs around here there's more than that many people, and we have a small scene compared to other states. EDIT: Yeah none of my regular partners are on these. Literally none. A bunch of 1300-1500 players I...
  13. Antispin setup for a newbie

Can't go wrong with Mercury II.
  14. Loki RXTON 9 new sponge.

What's the shot quality like in the highest quality shots? You said it lacks punch, which would describe a lot of the H3 replacements I've tried. :P
  15. Table Tennis Rankings in Australia

Probably not that low like I corrected later, but 1500 maybe. Granted tournament results vs how people look when they're playing isn't really always the same thing. 1100 is silly in hindsight; a lot of my partners are 1100 and they can't do that stuff at all.
  16. Table Tennis Rankings in Australia

What videos? The ones I posted? What did I describe about them? What did you do differently to go from 2-3 to 3-0? Not the same player, so maybe it doesn't matter, but either way.
  17. Loki RXTON 9 new sponge.

Seamoon is pretty comparable to National versions IME. You will still need 2 layers to get any real curl, be it with Seamoon or with National. The National ones will give the slightest bit of dome with 1 layer, while Seamoon barely does.

How thick is it now? 6mm? lol...

I come home looking like they're beating the shit out of my chest and left thigh lol.
  20. Table Tennis Rankings in Australia

Some have competed in Nationals, but I don't know. Their ratings are artificially lowered due to injuries, though. Surely it must have been higher before. Some of them are top players in their age group. I already told you my estimate was probably low. Internal comp today. Pretty weird...
