  1. Loki RXTON 9 new sponge.

That's super messed up. What shop was it and what model?
  2. How much training time per week is too much?

Pros can spend about an hour a day practicing serves. If you have a table at home I'd use the time on it. I'm a low level player, but for a few years I practised serves 2-3 hours a day 5 days a week and the benefit was immense although of course you run into diminishing gains very quickly. I...
  3. Loki RXTON 9 new sponge.

Mine was also 56 O, although it measured 36.5~ A due to series stiffness and so on. That's what I'd expect it to be. Your A is probably something like 31-32. What do the packages and sponge say? If they reported those as a 41 then it's a complete fuckup on their part.
  4. Does anyone have the experience of playing the hurricane king wang chuqin?

Yeah I lost 2-3 once. You'll just have to trust me on that. Seemed like a decent player.
  5. How much training and how to train to become a professional?

Think more like 40-50 as a minimum IMO.
  6. How much training time per week is too much?

I still have an injury from about 9 years ago because I didn't warm up one day. I really suggest you just don't get injured to begin with.
  7. How much training time per week is too much?

25 hours is a reasonable workload. I would only really pay attention to doing serious warmups and warmdowns and making sure you don't get injured. When you're young and not yet experienced with bad injuries, they can creep up on you, so you need to be extra careful and report everything to your...
  8. Loki RXTON 9 new sponge.

Did you compare the Shore A measurement? I've noticed that the Shore O measurement can change a lot after gluing and hitting a little, so maybe they allow some variation in it because it's not a reported parameter. If the A is really close then it might be okay and stabilize after hitting. That...
  9. Where to find Genuine Gold Viscaria and W968 ( prott doubt)

Part of it could be that pro blades are glued and pressed in a way that degrades greatly in a short time. Some people claim W968 is no good in 6 months of play. So some of them may have been sitting for a while and become relatively un-elastic compared to a fresh production.

Really great session today, no real comments other than it's the 2nd day in a row now and things are starting to fall in place. Maybe it will show in the practice videos. :) Also, based on some analysis of the path of the ball after I make winning killshots, I think I can safely go down to a...
  11. When should I back away from the table?

A lot of people are saying to step back against offensive shots and I agree with that, but I don't see anyone saying why exactly. Apart from just having more time when stepping back, one thing that has helped me is to consider where the apex of the ball path is. If it's behind me I can...
  12. GLUE - Does the brand of glue i choose make a noticeable difference ?

SUKE dries very quickly indeed and it likes to become solid even when brushing with the sponge if you put a too thin layer, so I suggest using a little too much than too little. Avoid working the same area a lot. I glue every 2-3 weeks and I still have some minor problems using it perfectly...

Sure, I just think it caps a lot sooner than people think. Haifu claims 1-2 layers for +8.5% elasticity at NTP after 12-24h. They also claim it lasts one week (probably 8.5%).
  14. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Yeah. How many people actually do that, though? The elasticity and softening pretty much caps, so you don't need to be uber precise IME.
  15. GLUE - Does the brand of glue i choose make a noticeable difference ?

Depends on the sponge it's applied to honestly. Also on how thick it was applied. You won't get consistent results with all sponges; I've found H3 blue sponge significantly tougher to peel than anything else.
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Well, like I thought, Haifu National Black does indeed soften the sponge. They all seem to saturate at basically the same amount of softening, but the amount needed seems to vary. This may indicate how strong of an effect you can get before it saturates. The sponge side softened by 3.0 O and...

I'd be wary of using words like "indistinguishable" especially when talking about something that you can just calculate to almost 100% accuracy. I don't know how much spin I objectively make, but I get told it's heavier than usual. Part of it might be the speed being a bit lower than usual so...
  18. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Go ahead, maybe there's a miscommunication. I just hear a ton of stuff like this in my field from hobbyists. Usually it's people using the wrong words, though.

@Haito I won't take off the current rubber, not before it's worn out at least. Plenty of performance still left in this one. Would be a shame to. After that I will reconsider options. People around me who play at a decent level don't think I need to change the model, but they do suggest 39...
  20. The elements of a perfect forehand attack

I agree, but nobody's perfect. What cost do you pay if you mis-judge the backswing needed and need to adjust nonlinearly downwards or forwards in a situation without a lot of time? There might be something else to it too, like muscle memory/choreography. A bit like how many players will bounce...
