  1. Need advise for my backhand rubber (Currently Rakza Z)

I have not seen a vid of you playing a match... and just from your description of yourself, your game, and HOW you described it, I am over 95% certain that this equipment or that equipment is not going to make a material difference in your match outcomes right away or even a few years later...
  2. Rubber for Chopper's Forehand

Softer sponge, more supple topsheet, less bouncy, easy to get ball into topsheet and sponge.
  3. Rubber for Chopper's Forehand

Get a softer older tech rubber... Aurus soft is an outstanding one. I chop like gangbusters with it. I like to goof off and play defense.
  4. Feedback on my loops against backspin

YES. This is important for taller players to enable them to get low or lower.
  5. Feedback on my loops against backspin

YES. This is what I emphasize with new and adult players. DOWN and UP (and forward)... but generating the kinetic energy going down and up (with a squat and un-bow) so one can transfer it to the ball. This is often in direct conflict to those who highlight the use of excessive waist and...
  6. Feedback on my loops against backspin

OP, You are striking the ball way too far in front of your effective strike zone. You do not get much leverage or spin this way or it is 10x more difficult/inconsistent to do so. You are not coming up with legs or un-bowing before/with swing to generate kinetic energy to transfer to the ball...

At the table vs fast powerful incoming balls, you are not exactly off the bounce (like as in 2 inches above bounce closed bat soft hand, etc)... one should have bat around net height and take ball on the rise. That still gives one the possible angles and still have good control over the ball...
  11. blade is too head-heavy for me - any tipps?

Hi @exotick In general, those who have very large straight arm (start position) powerful swings tend to better utilize and like a head heavy setup. Those who use their wrist a lot, particularly when playing shots over the table tend to dislike head heavy setup... ... however, some are...
  12. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

@NextLevel just said several juicy things. About pros/cons of taking ball later to block... Pros: More time to see ball and be in position - maybe helps consistency Cons: Gives opponent much more time, greatly reduces angles to use against opponent, MUCH more difficult to manage incoming spin...

Glad to hear @dingyibvs seeing results of discovering what was needed, the training, and the impacts of it.
  14. Forgetting form during games

Some members of the forum would state loudly and enthusiastically that if you had long pips, that you would have new and great advantages in match play... and maybe never have to face this. Maybe you and a few friends can empirically test this thinking with a one month trial of using long pips...

I remember that hall, real damn difficult for me to play that hall, way too loud - could not time shyt that day. Still, NL had few problems and deserved his easy way over me - all I did waz complain that day instead of enjoying friends. 5 years after this vid, I was maybe 30 lbs heavier... now...

James does not benefit from serving last... but James plays his best when he gets 2-6 or 3-7 down in a game... whatever issues in concentration he has seem to evaporate in those situations.
  17. Choice between T05fx, rozena and T19

@AlexisN , You have a great combination for a bat that even a well advanced player can play.... I slapped a sheet of 05FX on my FH of my wood blade and it is almost like a cheat code does everything so damn easy... I only need to be in position. If you have the funds or can borrow someonez bat...
  18. What are your top annoyances about assembling your own table tennis bats?

@The_TT_Bat_Guy , OK, you can be right in that even a little small easy thing to someone not well versed in the doing of it can view it as a mountain of a challenge. I also can accept complaining about the process... it is almost like Patriotic Speech. Complaining about things is so natural...
  19. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

@Jslick89 , do you remember how many times I served 9-9 or 9-7 ??? There waz a reason to the madness from the get-go.
  20. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

@Jslick89 , you and Brian play a VERY similar style... you both like fast exchanges at the table or a step away. You both like to counter hit with big swings. Maybe you have differences in serve receive ability. You both really hate hate hate hate slow heavy topspin. I did not use that so much...
