I see the use of lower arm going on... maybe impact a little too in front of zone, maybe could allow ball to drop a little more to make you get waist down a little more... vs the no spinner, bend forward on waist more take bat not below man zone but on top and maybe left of man zone.
Rolling down to Orange County, CA with USA's premier expert of boosting and utilizing H3 rubber - Sergey the Tsos.
I will have an hours long chance to discuss the secret craft as we drive to OCTTA for the Seniors TT Tourney.
We have entered a gazillion doubles events Sat and several Singles...
You have to hit the very bottom of the ball or anywhere along the side... think of needing to hit 6 O'Clock to be on very bottom... but if you are going for some sidespin, you can also strike ball at 7, 8, or 9 O'Clock and still make the ball short and good spin.
It is a matter of base angle...
Next Level has in years past given me the title of High Toss Servy Bastard, so of course I would tell people to toss the ball higher...
... but it isn't all about that. You need to discover a toss height that gives you enough time to prepare your stroke and be able to repeat it consistently...
Hey Mikey,
I see you going full pro look tossing ball sideways and hiding it with body :D
You doing well in that department.
If you want an underspin serve to go short, you need to make your bat angle very flat at impact, like same as table top. Imagine you laid the bat on the table... that...
The concept is with the decent proper fitted inserts, you tear less fiber on your injury site during the day, then overnight it heals a little more than you tore up... after a week you feel so much better and near 100% after 2 weeks.
Such an insert may have a 70% chance of fitting you decently...
I had Plantar Fasciitis and getting inserts for my daily wear shoes cured me quickly every day within two weeks.
For maintenance, I wear the inserts on daily shoes, and no extra inserts in my TT shoes.
First insert was a custom mold plastic.. after that was Pinnacle Power Step, which are often...
Well J-Slick, then to get that sucka off ur bat, you may need to "warm" the rubber a bit with an oxygen/acetylene torch a few minutes to soften that glue job...
LDM7 really liked the blade you made for him Chase... I had a brief hit with it today... hit 4 different shots (and totally perplexed LDM7) and immediately could tell this is center of mass of the zone of appropriateness for LDM7.
Traveled to Almeda TT Gym with LDM7... I did league and managed to watch a small amount of his games.
I struggle in that gym with light glare, high walls and ceiling light, and those old BTY tables have the friction coefficient of sandpaper. Any kind of light underspin ball that is not moving...
Hi dingyibvs,
You have properly articulated how it is for adult TT learners.
A high play level and coaching certification from a national body is nice, but it does little to nothing to get the adult TT learner to understand/visualize/internalize concepts, does nothing to spot and correct...
As long as only one of the "blade" has an authorized covering is used for striking the ball, then there is nothing in the laws of table tennis against it... but that creation would be mighty difficult to wield in TT battle though.
Gotta be Korean Women's Team... I will get the un-married TTD players to meet Seo Hyo Won's sister who would surely be doing announcing duties, especially if this is held in Samsung life TT gym... I would let out some nonsense in Korean to the women players who will soon after think TTD dudes...
Hi z0uLess,
When at the table on a finishing shot, making a long backswing and long stroke is difficult to time and unreliable for a fast ball output... it is WAY more productive to learn how to raise had to level of ball, take a step forward with a short stroke... and really firm up the grip...
I prolly started later than NL... and if NL saw my current 240 lb short body frame he would both vomit and study physics sum moar to see how it is possible.
I echo what NL says about seeking to attack and SPIN that ball.
