  1. New Equipment 2017

    Ahhhhhhh yeah! That's great news.
  2. Orange plastic balls?

Amazing! Unless it's an elaborate fake, we have lift off. I'm sure we will have some very happy local players now.
  3. Orange plastic balls?

Many thanks - a 3* approved orange ball would make quite a few teams over here in the UK very happy indeed.
  4. Orange plastic balls?

These aren't on the ITTF's approval list yet. Any chance of a pic of the logo on the ball itself?
  5. Cornilleau Simon Gauzy Quest Blade Review!

Amazing stuff! He seems like a right laugh. If I hit a behind-the-back shot against a pro and it came back as an edge ball, I'd have gone home in a mard.
  6. China Super League 2017

A teammate of mine is in Nanjing for the month of November, and Jiangsu have a match v Bazhou on the 21st. Could anyone advise on how he might get tickets for that? And where the fixture is held? He doesn't speak Chinese unfortunately so that might be a hindrance... Many thanks in advance!
  7. German Open 2017

Boll looks to have picked up a knee injury in the T2 APAC this morning. Fingers crossed he recovers in time for this!
  8. Goiabao 5 rubber recommendations

It's a fast, hard, fairly bouncy blade. It was too much for me with Tenergy or Tensors, but really great with hard, tacky rubber. So H3N forehand, H3-50 backhand. But it depends on how much speed you can handle and how you play.
  9. Men's World Cup 2017

I bet gauzy would have quite liked to have been in the 3rd place match under normal circumstances. Hard to predict who he would end up with. Ma Long will probably be looking to take it out on someone.
  10. Men's World Cup 2017

    Hahaha. Never in doubt.
  11. Men's World Cup 2017

Hahhahaha - shhhhhhhhhhh. Don't ruin it!
  12. Men's World Cup 2017

The CNT looks like a basket case at the moment and ML looked wobbly under pressure, but Timo played some of the best stuff I've ever seen him play to apply that pressure so I'm not going to second guess it. Some of his backhands were so good it's hard to put into words.
  13. Men's World Cup 2017

    Arrhfhffhfhfhfhhghh my head's fallen off.
  14. Men's World Cup 2017

They should test Timo's bandana for banned substances. He's evolved since he started to wear it. What a tournament eh? Can't remember the last time I enjoyed a world cup so much.
  15. Men's World Cup 2017

You never know fella. Just this once, maybe there's a tiny outside chance that you might be incorrect. Perhaps. I know it's a radical concept, but the world is a crazy place and bonkers things happen on occasion. I'm just happy that yesterday was so entertaining on many levels. Refreshing.
  16. Men's World Cup 2017

What a day yesterday was! The 2nd and 3rd quarter finals were just incredible. Gauzy came up with the answers yesterday - you'd have to say that Dima would overpower him usually but it's all up in the air.

  18. Which poly ball should you choose?

Ball update, 12th September. Butterfly - A40+ - White - Seamed - Made in China Probably a switch of their very early seamed ball (pre-G40+) to one of the more recent ABS versions.
  19. Vladimir Samsonov changed forehand rubber. Does anyone know what it is?

ESN do this with a few rubbers, Musa III China springs to mind. Made in Germany, Asia market only. I've had 4 sheets from ttnpp in total and ordering has been super-smooth.
  20. Vladimir Samsonov changed forehand rubber. Does anyone know what it is?

Yup, K1 and K1 plus are ESN. The sponge is very reminiscent of Baracuda, or Adidas P7, but harder. The topsheet has the semi-tack you see on other ESN tacky rubbers like Xiom Tau. It's a great rubber, if you accept the hybrid nature of it. I would imagine that when boosted it can do an...
