  1. Butterfly Tenergy 80 Rubber Review

I think that T25 will always have its adherents. It's like Ekrips rubber Vs the big selling Sriver in the old days. T25FX for me excelled at close to the table blocking and especially flipping incoming backspin. I got lost away from the table, but that was probably me not adjusting my technique...
  2. help me choosing backhand rubber

Easiest is to simply use the same rubber type for backhand and forehand. That's what most elite players do.

    it was Englishman David Foster
  8. Table tennis need statistics !

The Stats suggestion is great. I used to do it when I was cornering for some kids but like every coach that tried it, gave up after a while. Just recording the main points was enough, I think. Coaches tend to use diagrams to indicate how the game was played. Maybe such a diagrams app could be...
  9. Imagination !

    Very unusual and entertaining.
  10. Hard Vs Soft Blades for Tenergy or rubbers like it.

It doesn't matter what blade is used. It's down to player preference. If a player prefers hard blades, then he won't like a soft blade with Tenergy. If a player likes soft blades, then he won't like a hard blade with Tenergy. And so on. But if he's an EJ, then anything goes;)

  14. Stiga Calibra Tour Rubber Review

Yep, hit me with your critical stick. Anyway, points taken. If Dan allows me to do another, I'll make sure that he wears a TTD shirt in future. I am still reluctant at the direct comparison thing as there are too many variables to consider. But, the majority view appears to favour doing some...
  15. Stiga Calibra Tour Rubber Review

Whew! There are some harsh criticisms on this thread that I wasn't expecting. Let me introduce myself. I am Mark Kinlocke and I've been playing TT on and off for the past 50yrs or so. I am an active umpire, a qualified TT coach and an enthusiastic EJ. I also like photography and I did the...
  16. Best Rubber for Backhand Flicking? Will Short Pips make Flicking easier?

One the best is Tenergy T25FX. The FX version has that more control. T25 is not as good away from the table as T05/64. You'll have to modify your technique for that 'distance' control. Also very effective and cheaper is Donic Bluefire M2 or its equivalent in other brands. Combined with...

What would you have preferred to see? Feedback is always appreciated to influence future video features.
  18. Stiga Calibra Tour Rubber Review

Veteran EJ-type player viewpoint here. I thought the hard was the fastest rubber post SG-era that I have ever experienced. That thing was a rocket. Consequently grip was not that great for the slow loop stuff. In my opinion: 1 It's not for loopers. 2 It's for Hitters or drive loopers. 3 Kreanga...
  19. Brand New Tenergy for sell (from 42 pound each)

First post offering what appears to be amazing bargains. Hmmmm Who are you, HenryTam? Your profile says nothing and I don't see your name on the ETTA ranking list?
  20. New way to detect boost 2013

So the ITTF is going to limit the bounce of the equipment. they will probably rule thus, "The ball must not bounce more than 6cm when dropped from xcm" So no more can OEM say their bat has so much more speed than their rivals. The ITTF are obsessed with these boost thing.
