  1. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

@NextLevel You know my level and experience with equipment so take this with a grain of salt, but that looks like a flat hit and not a loop to me. Have you tried to brush more on your backhand, or is there some reason not to?
  2. Which chinese rubber play like tenergy 05

When talking about chassis performance and feeling, Lamborghini is not exactly the first thing to come to mind. The engineers know the cars are gonna be driven by rich people who can't drive worth anything, so they understeer like hell and are too safe for their own good allegedly. I thought...
  3. Forehand loop internal shoulder rotation

I would avoid leaning back like that and avoid extending the arm so far to your side on the followthrough. From personal experience, those things will eventually make your upper back give out from all the twisting and turning: especially with how hard you're swinging. I think people would tell...
  4. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

@NextLevel Thank you for filming and uploading the games played in your leagues. I was just now watching a new video and realized that most of the amateur table tennis I've seen on video can only be seen because you film it.
  5. Building The Hammer

If the blade sells like water in a desert, why don't they keep making and selling it? No profit return or what?
  6. Forehand loop internal shoulder rotation

@UpSideDownCarl To me, a hook is a sidespin shot with the forehand that curves to my LEFT, as a right-hander. Grabbing the ball from the outside-right side with my wrist down. Is that right?
  7. Building The Hammer

THE HAMMER sounds like something Der_Echte would make.
  8. Forehand loop internal shoulder rotation

I'm sure you can see, but that's a sidespin stroke. Not exactly a standard topspin shot.
  9. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

@nas3to I knew you were using Chinese tacky rubber the second you swung. Very good.
  10. The UpSideDown Method of Sealing Your Blade

Instructions unclear, solvent was not very tasty when ingested.
  11. Rubber properties understanding

@spinner24 Congratz, you've found out that no-spin variation is good. Now go and learn how to make your heavy backspin look like no-spin, and your no-spin look like heavy backspin. No rubber change required!
  12. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Trained with my dad today. 2nd session of the week. A ton of stuff that I worked on half a year ago are falling into place now. I haven't taken video to confirm, but I think my strokes are now more or less where I wanted them: but even better! Swinging is so relaxed when you learn not to tense...
  13. why europe sucks so bad?

"Haha, got you sucka, now you've improved and there's nothing about can do about it!"
  14. Rubber properties understanding

Doesn't it matter A LOT where and how fast you contact the ball anyway? For example with a more side-on stroke you can hit into topspin with a more open angle, as opposed to when you're blocking very heavy topspin and need to close the angle a lot. So this kind of advice might not be the big...
  15. Unsolicited Coaching

If they're real coaches, I would shut up and listen. If not, well, take it or leave it. I would always leave "SPIN THE BALL MAN".
  16. Rubber properties understanding

No, tacky rubber does not generate more spin. Where the hell has this idea come from? Maybe in the hands of a very good player it has more potential, but mechanically it generates LESS spin, because more energy is used to get the ball off the bat in the first place. That is why people have...
  17. Low backhand power

@Baal I've never played very close attention to this, but I'll pay more attention next time I train.
  18. Low backhand power

I knew the whole physics behind it, but I didn't know that it makes THAT much of a difference. What exactly is happening differently when the ball hits the sweetspot compared to when it doesn't? Is the blade just harder there?
  19. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

@UpSideDownCarl Carl, I don't know why, but YouTube is recommending me this: Category: Comedy
  20. Low backhand power

That's interesting. To me it feels like I'm hitting near the middle, maybe even closer to the handle sometimes. Never payed attention to this. Is it so important?
