  1. Hugo Calderano's equipment revealed

Well, talent and work comes first. Basically, once you are among the chosen for a sponsor contract (and I don´t mean the local kids who get 50% off anything and then claim they´re sponsored, that is just a discount to bring clothes in circulation) you have already shown that you can actually...
  2. Hugo Calderano's equipment revealed

True for world class. Below that, there are also run of the mill pro rubbers. Still better than what you can buy, but not individualised. So if you are really a face of the brand, you should get your own. Or, if you´re Ovtcharov, you play tenergy. ;) But there are so many other sponsored...
  3. 1.8mm, 2.0mm or max thickness?

A lot of older players still use these classic rubbers. And I wouldn´t advise a change necessarily. But I think it´s time we stopped recommending old rubbers to new players. Today, learning table tennis with all the things that Mark V has seen come and go in its lifespan (speed glueing and...
  4. 1.8mm, 2.0mm or max thickness?

    And Coppa. And ...
  5. Should I switch from Timo Boll ALC to Stiga Carbonado 190

Well, that probably shows no two Carbonados are alike, and neither are people´s tastes ;)
  6. Should I switch from Timo Boll ALC to Stiga Carbonado 190

From what I know, having played numerous ALCs yet only one Carbonado 190, you´d find the Carbonado to be faster and less controlled than the ALC.
  7. Xuim omega 7 Euro by Victas?Made in Japan or Germany?

The rubber is made by ESN in Germany. But what the name Victas is doing on a Xiom rubber is a mystery to me.
  8. FS rare prototype blade Drinkhall PowerSpin "Green Carbon"

Final attempt at pushing it, promised ;)
  9. Andro releases Rasanter R53

Gave my racket to a former national team player from an Eastern European country. Happy face: "What a rubber." Sad face: "But you know I have to play (insert name of his sponsor here)" ;)
  10. New blades - ANDRO Gauzy

Just a bit. For a 7-ply hard all wood blade it feels very good and controllable. In my opinion, better touch than Stiga Ebenholz, which would be one to compare it with, due to the ebony outer ply. Works well with R53, but I put on a backhand rubber that sucked a bit (from "other"...
  11. FS rare prototype blade Drinkhall PowerSpin "Green Carbon"

Thank you. I have no direct comparison, only memories of the Drinkhall, and I thought they were quite similar, yet not identical. So anyone looking for a more tame Drinkhall Powerspin, your chance is here.
  12. FS rare prototype blade Drinkhall PowerSpin "Green Carbon"

It´s a fraction of the price of the original Drinkhall blade, which plays quite similar, let alone any Butterfly and Aramid Carbon blades of other companies. Downside: It´s only a prototype and once you break it, you´ve had it ... ;) But most people play for years with their blades and never...
  13. FS rare prototype blade Drinkhall PowerSpin "Green Carbon"

New and final price Euro 40 including shipping.
  14. Andro releases Rasanter R53

I think the R53 really extends the limits. And yes, work is needed to activate its maximum potential. But, and this is important, even if you can´t drive it at maximum speed, it will deliver more spin than t05 on the same speed level, and it is not such a beast to handle as t05 hard or other...
  15. FS rare prototype blade Drinkhall PowerSpin "Green Carbon"

I think it´s very good if you consider the fact that these blades were supplied for testing (I actually have had other samples here with the handles glued on off centre and two different grip plates used for making one handle ...). If it was a production model, more care could possibly be...
  16. Andro releases Rasanter R53

    Mine were 73 for R53, 71 for R50.
  17. FS rare prototype blade Drinkhall PowerSpin "Green Carbon"

The first buyer was so impressed, he wanted one more. The second buyer was so impressed, he actually bought one more. So it must be good, no? ;)
  18. Andro releases Rasanter R53

Correct. It is also the reason why the rubber feels softer than you would expect. Like I said, the step from R47 to R50 is bigger than the one from R50 to R53. And the topsheet, as far as I know, is the same for all.
