I´d say on an equal topspin stroke the Rosewood provides more arc.
If you like that is subjective, many prefer the slightly more direct approach of the ALC.
Also (my experience, may not be general) a very light Rosewood (~80 grams) will provide some extra kick - for example you play 5 topspins for placement with 80% input and all´s well, then you play a final point bringing stroke with 100% input and the blade will produce 110, the ball going out. Like I said, I didn´t have this problem with heavier Rosewoods, and it really might have been a problem of this particular blade?
Anyway, it´s difficult to compare 5ply all wood to 5+2 Arylate Carbon.
