A new entertaining intra-club activity as introduced by German clubsters recently.

It is what it says it is: You travel hundreds of kilometers to the venue, dress up, do the warm-ups and lose the one deciding point and then travel back home.
The fact that it was organized by "mytischtennis" ( :poop: ), tells you that it is simply a marketing joke. I'm convinced that well over 90 % of all tt players in Germany (league/tournament players that is!) give mytischtennis a thumbs down ((n) ), not neccessarily because of the 1-point WC, but because of their long-lasting IT ineptitude as well as their shenenigans they pulled off with the help of the DTTB in relation to the recently introduced tournement license.

Here is some footage:

looks like a joke

we do these 1 points during training some times. (separate the team into too, and a relay basically, with winner staying on)
more a fun and chilling thing than anything serious

...Taking these kinds of shortcuts is highly illegal and should be heavily enforced against.
Hehe, yes, I agree. In particular mytabletennis and it's "CEO" should be banned for life and ordered to stay away from tt for a variety of reasons...

... Next thing you know people start altering their rubbers...
People do that? You sure about that?
You know, in the context of the event, I really do enjoy the notion that someone idotic living like 500 km away from Düsseldorf, might have actually boosted his H3 Neo National like crazy a few days before, then traveling all the way to the venue, suiting up in chinese national apparels, then warming up for an hour, then losing the first point in his very first match and right afterwards driving back home...:giggle:

We'll win or lose your back in the car just as quickly but hey, it's Germany, people LOVE driving. Maybe even more than TT. 😛
