Since he isn't going to the Olympics (largely a result of the Kanak suspension IMHO as the US should have qualified a team over Canada even with the fantastic rise of Edward Ly), I think he may have found it not worth his time at least this year, possibly permanently. But I don't know for sure.

Yeah, he is much more tactical and has a very specialist style. A good model for players who are not into hyperphysical table tennis. I do know someone who beat him and said that his game against heavy backspin was very suspect. But you aren't going to see much of that at that level unless someone ia inspired and really desperate.

Wow, Amy Wang got dismantaled by Coach Hong Lin 4-1. After game 4, Amy spent maybe 20 seconds or so in her corner and went back to the table as if to say let's get this over with.

Yeah. It is pretty interesting that she has accepted who she is. Pretty awesome player, great at the fast game, but once someone exceeds her spin threshold, that's all she wrote
