Going by the thread title, stiffness and softness do not go together. This is my understanding. The more the stiffness, harder the blade. If a blade does not warp or bend, where does the softness come from? Correct me if am wrong.

As others mentioned, these two things really are not the same. Check Sergio's web-page.

From the wood in the top layer(s)…

Imagine a 1ply balsa blade and a 1ply oak blade… Both will be very very stiff, but only one will be hard…

Cheers

Perhaps Neottec Kanji Def (I never used it, it's the supplier's data).
Approximate weight (g) 85
Number of Layers 5+2
Blade medium speed, medium hard and quite stiff due to its thickness but with a great control... 6,6 mm thick blade. This defensive blade is produced from koto and limba wood and has the enlarged playing surface, which ensures the reliability of defensive strokes.

You asked before in august 2023 and my answer is still the same. There is a good man here in the forum, Catenaccio , who will arrange the purchase in japan and the postage to europe , both at an excellent price

I also looked at the blade, somewhere they say that the artificial fiber is carbon, somewhere else they say that it is Black Cloth. Neottec does not define the type of artificial insert.

Does anyone know what type of artificial insert is used in this blade?
