African JCTTC-2025 (ITTF African Youth Championships) will take place from July 27 to August 3, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria. The tournament is organized by the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation under the auspices of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF).
The championships will feature competitions for Cadets (Under 15) and Juniors (Under 19).
The event includes team, doubles, and singles competitions for boys and girls in both age categories, as well as mixed doubles events.
Participants

Players born on or after January 1, 2010, are eligible to compete in the Cadet (U15) events.
Players born on or after January 1, 2006, are eligible to compete in the Junior (U19) events.
Championship Format
TEAM EVENTS
- Team competitions for Juniors/Cadets (events 1, 2, 3, and 4) will follow the new Swaythling format with 3 to 4 players per team: AX; PO; C-Z; A-J; B-H.
- If no more than 5 teams are entered, the event will be played as a single group; with 6–10 teams in 2 groups, 11–15 teams in 3 groups, and more than 15 in 4 groups. (For over 20 teams, the jury will decide).
- A round-robin system will be used in all group stages.
- For the second stage (if 2 groups – 6 to 10 teams), a cross-over system will apply.
- For the second stage (if 3 or 4 groups), winners and runners-up will enter progressive QF K.O. for top positions, 3rd and 4th place teams will do the same for lower positions, and so on, to determine full rankings.
- In the third stage (if 2, 3, or 4 groups), winners from stage two will play together, and runners-up will also play each other to finalize team rankings.
- Team group allocations will be based on the latest African ranking list as of Week 1, July 2025, considering the top 3 registered players per team.
- U15 players may only be registered in one (1) age category for team events.
- The top of each group will be determined by the seeding list.
- Remaining teams will be drawn according to a modified step-by-step snake system.
- Unseeded teams will be randomly drawn.
- In all team events: in case of teams with equal win records, final group standings will follow ITTF rules (3.7.5: group events).
INDIVIDUAL EVENTS
- Junior/Cadet singles (events 5, 6, 7, and 8) will be played in a straight knockout format (best of 7 games).
- Doubles events (9 to 14) will be played in a straight knockout format (best of 5 games).
- Draws and seeding will be conducted by the Referee and CM in cooperation with the ATTF Technical & Ranking Committee, using ITTF rules and the African ranking list from Week 1, July 2025.
- No association may enter more than four players per event in events 1, 2, 3, and 4, including the Host Association.
- No association may enter more than four players in each of events 5, 6, 7, and 8, or more than two pairs in each of events 9 to 14.
- The Host Association may be allowed to double the number of entries in events 5–14.
- U15 players may take part in one (1) singles age category and one (1) doubles/mixed doubles category as per quota.
Qualification
The winner of each team category and the finalists of each individual event will qualify directly for the 2025 ITTF World Youth Championships, scheduled for December 2025 in Romania.
