I got the AK47 yellow for BH, but the FH will be H3N.
If the tacky Chinese rubbers are so slow (unboosted), can I assume that getting a +1 faster blade would be equivalent to if I used euro rubbers?

Nope. That's not how it works. They're not slower, they're harder, which means you need to have a fast swing to effectively use the sponge. If you get a faster blade, you get less dwell time and less vibrations and in turn, the ball does not lose much energy when hit by the blade. This however does not compensate for a slow swing. They are two completely separate effects. If you need a euro rubber go for one. If you like H3N unboosted, then you need to improve your technique to use it properly.

Yeah, you are right, I expressed myself badly. I actually mentioned the thing about technique in my first post as good thing.

I didn’t mean that they would play the same way, it was more about getting rid of the brick feeling.

I bought some AK47 yellow to try it and I thought it was pretty good rubber for the very low price. I don't use it as I don't find it gives me as much spin as the rubbers I use at the moment (TSP Ventus Soft and Tibhar Aurus Soft) but I put it on a practice bat and I quite like it although I use it on the FH not the BH. All the Palio AK7 rubbers have got very good ratings onn revspin although I'm not sure whether that means anything or not. When I compare the speed, spin control ratings of the rubbers I look at they seem to be vary an awful lot between what I see on Tees Sports, Bribar (both retailers), this site and revspin.

Done!

Hello everyone.
By following your suggestions, I ended up changing everything I was planning to buy before posting the thread, and I’m sure I’m getting a better setup (and for the same initial price!).

Here is what I bought:
Blade: Yinhe Earth 3
FH: Friendship 729 Battle II
BH: Palio AK47 Yellow
Glue: DHS no. 15
TOTAL: $56

Thanks!
