Is it similar speed. When I tried K3 it was a lot faster. What I really like about PK50 is its hardness. It’s really nice one backhand as it’s supple and holds on the rubber.Tibhar Hybrid K1 Plus
Most likely you are right and it is more suitable for backhand than for forehand. I tried it on forehand and for me it is too soft and has a high angle. For playing backhand it is better, although there are also disadvantages - not high speed, which in principle can be worked with, and high sensitivity to incoming spin.I'm about to try PK50 as my BH rubber, H3 neo FH.
With my durometer, I measure 45 degrees of hardness for the sponge, measured from the top sheet it's even less. So we are far from 50 as hardness.
Plus the back of the package reads:
"SIEGER PK50 emphasizes a high arc, due to the "S touch topsheet".
This topsheet enables you to attack even if you lose your balance or timing.
With your attack, aggressive pushing, or banana flip (Chiquita) you will be the victor!"
So Nittaku mentioning Chiquita seems to acknowledge that this rubber is particularly suited for BH.
Maybe Nexy Spira or Dr Neubauer Dominance Speed Hard can be good choice too but do you have pf4 or pf4-50? Where did you found H8-80 provincial with 39 degree?Just came across the DHS PF4 on sale on AliExpress and bought two with "mid" hardness.
These are definitely as sticky as the old PK50 and have an even bigger dampening effect. In direct comparison to the h8-80 '39 the PF4 was more sticky and I could generate more spin on it with my backhand. I replaced the hurricane 8-80 on my backhand with the PF4 after in had tried the PF4 on my spare blade successfully already
