Anyway, it is an actual rule whether it is in the TT rules or the umpire's handbook of what they are supposed to respond to, your opponent can't talk, make noise, or otherwise distract you when the ball is heading towards you.

Rules not specified about advises during the game

3.5.1.3 Players may receive advice at any time except during rallies provided play is
not thereby delayed (3.4.4.1); if any authorised person gives advice illegally the
umpire shall hold up a yellow card to warn him or her that any further such
offence will result in his or her dismissal from the playing area.

So if this is authorised person he can talk as long as he wants?
