It is a common misperception that BiBa was not a great player. That is far from the truth. She actually has won 9 national titles between the Europe and the US. She has defeated several top players and was leading against Wang Nan who is one of the three top players of all time. She had defeated men rated over 2600. She defeated Jasna Reed who was an Olympic medalist and US national champion. She was also a semi finalist in the US Open a couple of times. BiBa is an extremely talented player and probably one of the most interesting women to watch play. Her game is actually more like a Man that a women. She is a spinner from both sides. I feel bad for her that because she is so attractive that many people don't realize what a good player she has been. For the last few years she has focused on promoting the sport but I can tell you that she is competitive still with any women in the US for sure.

Forgive me. I don't want to present anything that is inaccurate or false about anyone. I have nothing against anyone. But, I have a solid 10 years of ratings from USATT that shows Biba's highest rating to be 2453 and her current rating, as of today, to be 2321. In her most recent tournament the highest rated player she beat was 2273 and she lost to a player rated 2318. These are respectable numbers for someone who is not competing in the World Tour. But that rating would not present her as competitive with players in the top 10, 50 or 100 in the world tour right now.

Can you point me to where she was ever in the top 20 in ITTF rankings? I know that Anna Kournikova was in the top 10 in women's tennis before injuries ended her career. I know her highest rating was #8 in world ranking in women's singles in tennis. I also know that there was a period where she was ranked #1 in women's doubles.

What was Biba's highest world ranking? In what tournament was she leading against Wang Nan? Was it a Pro Tour event or an exhibition?

By the way, I decided to look through her USATT match records. The highest rated player I could find that she won a match against was Samson Dubina when he was 2473. So in a USATT sanctioned tournament, the highest rated player she took care of was not quite 2500 yet. There were 2 other players who were over 2450. I would say that is pretty decent. But, not world class and not enough to get a player into the top 100. And there are countless players who are under 2200 and even under 2100 who she drops matches to in tournaments.

She may be an excellent player by the normal standards and I don't want to take anything away from her. But by professional standards, I am not sure she was a top player. But I would be happy to be shown to be wrong.

Again, it is easy to find where Anna K was in the top 10 in the world. I cannot find any records indicating Biba was ever remotely close.
