Does anyone have a breakdown of the Xiom Omega line or have experience with the V, VII and VIII? Still looking for a backhand rubber.
Saw some reviews on TT11 blog and Omega 5 Asia and Tour were reviewed favorably.
Omega 7 and Omega 8 Euro and Pro seem to be popular choices for backhand too, but according to a lot of reviews the O8P and O8E are both really bouncy/catapulty in the shortgame/serve and receive. O7P seems to be similar to O8P, but a bit more controlled from what I've read?
For reference I've played with Tenergy 19(borrowed for 8 sessions on my friend's spare Viscaria) and old tensors like Vega Pro, Rakza 7, Hexer, etc(these I owned myself on my own Viscaria) and feel like the T19 is a little more catapulty in the shortgame than I'd like compared to the aforementioned old tensors, but maybe with more time I could get used to it. I really like the T19 for looping underspin, counter topspin, pretty much everything offensively and don't feel like it's too fast for me in this department.
With T19/old tensors like Vega Pro as a reference point how do the Omega 5 Asia/Tour, Omega 7 Pro/Euro and Omega 8 Pro/Euro compare if any of you have experience with them specifically the shortgame/serve receive? Open to comparisons with Andro NUZN line, Joola Tronix line or any comparable ESN in the 42-50 degree range that has decent durability(which is why I haven't listed any Donic, Stiga, Tibhar. Stiga and Tibhar specifically I've read have terrible longevity as in losing grip/performance/boost effect over time like the K3, Evolution lines are notorious for bad longevity). I would go H3 Neo 37 degree, but BH bananas are kind of tough on that. Maybe I need to boost, but boosting is a hassle.
Been playing a lot more and I've been beating players between 1500-1800 USATT in league regularly if that matters.
