Does anyone have a breakdown of the Xiom Omega line or have experience with the V, VII and VIII? Still looking for a backhand rubber.
Saw some reviews on TT11 blog and Omega 5 Asia and Tour were reviewed favorably.
Omega 7 and Omega 8 Euro and Pro seem to be popular choices for backhand too, but according to a lot of reviews the O8P and O8E are both really bouncy/catapulty in the shortgame/serve and receive. O7P seems to be similar to O8P, but a bit more controlled from what I've read?

For reference I've played with Tenergy 19(borrowed for 8 sessions on my friend's spare Viscaria) and old tensors like Vega Pro, Rakza 7, Hexer, etc(these I owned myself on my own Viscaria) and feel like the T19 is a little more catapulty in the shortgame than I'd like compared to the aforementioned old tensors, but maybe with more time I could get used to it. I really like the T19 for looping underspin, counter topspin, pretty much everything offensively and don't feel like it's too fast for me in this department.

With T19/old tensors like Vega Pro as a reference point how do the Omega 5 Asia/Tour, Omega 7 Pro/Euro and Omega 8 Pro/Euro compare if any of you have experience with them specifically the shortgame/serve receive? Open to comparisons with Andro NUZN line, Joola Tronix line or any comparable ESN in the 42-50 degree range that has decent durability(which is why I haven't listed any Donic, Stiga, Tibhar. Stiga and Tibhar specifically I've read have terrible longevity as in losing grip/performance/boost effect over time like the K3, Evolution lines are notorious for bad longevity). I would go H3 Neo 37 degree, but BH bananas are kind of tough on that. Maybe I need to boost, but boosting is a hassle.
Been playing a lot more and I've been beating players between 1500-1800 USATT in league regularly if that matters.

IIRC all the ones prior to 8 is very heavy
I've seen the uncut rubbers of the Omega 7 and 8 Euro to be the same weight(impressive since 7 Euro is 42 degree and 8 Euro is 45 degree) and the 7 Pro and 8 Pro seem to be within 1g of each other as well. Omega 5 line seem to all be heavy comparatively for their hardness level.

8 Pro and Euro seem to have crazy catapult for shortgame/serve receive, there's conflicting info on the 7 Pro and Euro. And even more for 5 Asia and 5 Tour(they also changed the hardness of the Asia and Tour lines after 5 I believe?). Just haven't seen all three lines 5, 7, 8 compared with each other

they are all very bouncy because of the carbo sponge, if you're looking for rubbers with better control you should look into other esn like joola or gewo

i'm not familiar with gewo gear. any suggestions from them?
for joola i have heard good things about tronix acc used as a BH rubber
Tronix acc is very good, very soft, you have to generate power yourself and the sponge will give you spin
gewo i've played proton neo 450 and eft 48, both are very good, 450 is more similar to acc, eft48 is harder, and you can brush a bit more to give it more arc and spin, if your end goal is better control i think the eft48 would be pretty nice
