He is still an attacking player.You think this grip won't prevent from him to improve and become world level player?
How close to world level, I’m not sure - even normal grips with olympic status doesn't mean world level.
But age to age with Taiwanese, there is something there.
I guess he would need to move to Taiwan for good and train full time (his dad is from Tainan, and they train at the center where Kuo Guan-Hong resides).
They will also need to raise a lot of money, since NZL TT international trips are all self funded.
So to world level, there is more than a grip to consider. But if he can over come those, and out rank Taiwanese players, he is in the right step.
