Why is your own rubber not in the list ? Why none of those is your FH rubber ?

Arthur China is the best for my taste, technique and play style.
actually in my signature there's H3 blue sponge H41 as my FH, and H3 orange H38 as my BH
I would have loved the Arthur China if not for its terrible durability - I've destroyed 5 sheets of them in 2 months because they suffered from bad glue job in the topsheet and sponge

FAG-1 over here. I don't have near-godly skills; I'm just a dedicated amateur player, putting in the effort and having done so for many a year by now.

The elite can and does get away with the mercurial ultra-high-end rubbers. The wannabees will mimic, fetish-fantasizing that using the same equipment as their idols will somehow magically transfer that level of skill unto them. I confess to having made that mistake too, and probably more times than should have been necessary to learn my lesson.

So I'm using stuff that's actually within my grasp of things. FAG-1 is no slouch; it has insanely high plateaus of spin and speed. But given my level, it has three things to offer that the ultra high end du jour does not: (1) control, (2) control and (3) control.

Oh, and (4): it lasts. In fact, it outlasts everything else I ever tried. And we still have but one planet to burn.

Interesting nickname you have for it there lol. But I greatly appreciate this post. I have stuck G1 to both sides of my Acoustic and feel it’s almost like a modern day Mark V. A rubber that you can develop with because of its control, and one that you can continue to play with as a high level because of its potential in spin & power. I often contemplate switching or trying other rubbers hoping it might help or change certain characteristics, but nothing will help more than consistent training.

I just need to get off this damn forum and play more 😂

My personal favourite FH rubber is H3 Neo BS with 2 layers of booster. I think the Blue sponge is the best rubber for FH ever. I tried a friends H3 Neo OS boosted and felt it was bouncier in the short game but bottoms out quicker compared to H3 Neo BS. Just my two cents

that acronym for G1.......... i had to do a double take when i came across ur post :ROFLMAO:

personally for eurojap rubbers i quite like dignics 80 on the forehand. rasanter r50 as the second option, but the performance dies fast like ur run-of-the-mill ESN rubber. G1 would be the third.

im a bit iffy to list chinese rubbers because boosters tremendously improve the performance of these rubbers, and ur gonna want to boost them anyway.

My favorites, in order:

1. Skyline 2 orange sponge (old version)
2. Skyline 2 blue sponge
3. Hurricane 3 blue sponge
4. Xuperman Powerplay-X
5. Tenergy 05 Hard
6. K3

Recently I've been playing with pips on the forehand (and twiddling occasionally) and I think Fastarc G1 is a good rubber to have for a twiddler with pips. Switching from pips to H3 is quite confusing -- you have to completely change your mentality for hitting the ball. My friend lent me his racket with pips and G1, and it's much easier to twiddle with G1. I might make the switch to G1 soon.

I recently discovered a friend's solution to increase rubber tackiness and applied it to my 1+yr old D05s and the results were just amazing. I think my spin levels increased by 30% just from this. D05 already has huge spin due to the sponge but this surface treatment boosted it even further that I think it is going to boosted Hurricane levels (imo it exceeded even D09c levels), except with the Dignics Spring Sponge so the balls are even faster. I was doing it in a match and it was super funny because some of the serves and loops were so spinny with some crazy trajectories that they were almost unreturnable lol.

IMHO:

Best used was a H3 39° Provincial but the problem with DHS is the low QC, purchased several times more rubbers & tried National but it's a lottery and I don't want to spend more money to get trash.

Now I use for two years the same rubber unboosted BII BS 39° Provincial and still is sticky and plays very good, spin level is near the best H3 used, the difference is that BII is not as dead as H3 boosted, it's mid throw near low, last a lot more: H3 boosted 6-8 months, It’s a little bouncy but not like BTY it's between H3 and BTY but more near H3, also important if you don't like to boost you can use it the BII but for H3 it's impossible without booster.

Other important thing is BII BS Provincial it's the same price like H3 comercial trash and half or less the price of H3 Provincial or BTY TGY.

You might want to give the new batches of LAC a try since it's looking more likely (to me at least) that they've fixed the poor topsheet adhesion issue. If the bond is as strong as the new Rxton 9 and 3 Blue sheets I've gotten, we might be even able to safely boost it.

To me it looked like the sponge broke below the pips and not the adhesive. The pips had small sponge parts on them on the failed rubbers I had.
