I always thought Wang Liqin had the best FH in power, spin, form, and just overall penetration. But his game is not as solid and complete as Ma Long. Or maybe WLQ's forehand looked better because it was still during the speed glue era, while ML has to be content with booster.
I think you might be right. He was one of the golden standard of forehand. But I think that tall players with the proper technique can have the nicest looking form. WLQ, Xu Xin, Ryu Seung-min... very hard to make a choice among them.
In homage to KTS; I also use a 10.5mm thick monster of a blade.for me
Kim Taek Soo
is the fh king
But overall? I mean rn thats 100%In today’s field I’d say best FH loop is Wang Chuqin from pivot position.
full disclosure: I am writing this sleepy in the morning and all my opinions are wrong.Best overall (spin, speed, power, form)
I'll vote for XX on spin, RSM on speed, and ML for formfull disclosure: I am writing this sleepy in the morning and all my opinions are wrong.
Best spin: I nominate Timo and Xu Xin
Best speed: Ryu Seung-min and Ma Lin come to mind.
Best power: not sure what that is, probably a nonsense category?
Best form: Ma Long and Kong Linghui.
Best overall: same subjective nonsense as "power".
EDIT: maybe we can define power as the total energy on the ball? Like mv^2/2 + it's rotational energy from spin?
