I just wanted to say that even though it is a European style Waldner's technique so easily takes care of this younger player. And if you really pay attention you can see where Wang Liqin really started to develop his stroke. It's very similar to Waldner's step around, but with less wrist and more shoulder put into it.

You can clearly see that Waldner doesn't practise as much as before. He is easily able to set up a winner for himself, but often lacks the accuracy and power to finish it. Still his game is great to watch.

Yeah if you notice it took him a while to really warm up, but once he did he was really making some great shots. His touch is still great as ever and the other player's technique is just not quite as good as Waldner's. If you watch the other player his stroke is so compact and he uses his wrist so much, but Waldner was commanding the points in the last set and everything was deliberate. He truly is a genius at the sport.
