Z03 surpasses D09C in both speed and spin.

It’s not tacky.

imagine what will happen with Z09c! even spinnier.

But my only question is why make Z03 so hard if its' meant to be a bh rubber?
Maybe it's what they found to work best with the thicker sponge and the new topsheet philosophy.

My concern is that those findings were done in mind with what works best with the technique and power of their pros that helped perfect the rubber, and not with the average players.

ZYRE-03 NOT GOOD CHOICE FOR SPINNY GAME.

It comes from experimental works by Dr. Tiefenbacher dated to 1998
--- 📌short pimples inwards ought to inhibit spin on the ball owning to a poor tangencial acceleration.

@butterfly did deliver a misleading information for us.
According to Tiefenbacher's academical argumentation, in actual play Zyre 03 will produce a lesser amount of spin compared with Sriver FX.

I am sure the same thing someone said some years ago when Tenergy05 came to life.

I think Butterfly refers to top speed and spin with 2.7 sponge.

I think the 2.5 sponge can be used for BH

TTKokusai has begun accepting pre-orders for the ZYRE03. The price is ¥12,870 (€75).

13000 Yen excl. VAT directly from Butterfly https://www.butterfly.shop/category/IN/06140.html
vs
9500 Yen excl. VAT for a D09C https://www.butterfly.shop/category/IN/06070.html
If they keep that ratio than Z03 would cost 109.90 Euro in Germany (D09C 79.90 Euro incl. VAT * 1.36842 = 109.3368).
Crazy...

30 years ago I'd believe it. Get off the sub.

Faster, spinnier, lighter, longer lasting... Looking forward to trying this one. Not looking forward to paying for it. Will Butterfly really break the $100/sheet barrier? Now, with people furious about inflation?

Wouldn't be surprised, they went to 80 from 60 with dignics, why would they stop there?

Anything that can spin the plastic ball is a game changer, the question is how much effort will this rubber require, 09c requires quite a bit. Hence I think this should be taken more seriously.

That is why leave those hard things to the pros.

The main advantage of the D05 is that it is fast and dynamic, yet it still provides excellent ball control. A key factor here is the softer sponge, which increases dwell time and helps the rubber “grab” the ball more effectively.

The Z03, however, is built differently. It has a harder sponge, shorter pimples, and greater thickness, combined with a non-tacky topsheet. Because of these features, it is uncertain whether the Z03 will generate the same ball-holding effect as the D05.

What makes the D05 special is that, despite its high speed, it remains very user-friendly and forgiving. If the Z03 does not create that same dwell and control, adapting to it could be much harder. In that case, it may only suit advanced or top-tier players who can handle its faster rebound and reduced grip.

How are you liking that green piece so far, Gozo?
Muacks and luvin'it. It's fast & bouncy! Lazy half arse swing and the ball travels at Mach 2.5 hurling towards my vict....err opponents.
