D05 might be slightly slower than D80, but it is definitely still among the fastest rubber for strong strikes. I think most people don't agree with you point just because you need to compare it with D80 to say it is slow.
The original reviews on TTD as to why many players didn't want to put Dignics 05 on their forehand are still out there - I didn't make it up so you can hear other people say that they found D05 slow relative to Tenergy 05 (usually in ball release, defenders of Dignics usually talk about the after-the-bounce kick). TTD Dan didn't put it on his forehand, Timo didn't put it on his forehand either until he was close to retirement and tired of using 09c. It was a backhand rubber for many players initially, they preferred Tenergy speed on the forehand. While 09c was slower, the spin and short game was supposed to be the trade off. I have a coach who still finds the ball holding of D05 slow, he left D05 for T05, he was the one that convinced me to leave 09c initially for non-sticky rubber, and when I tested 05 and 80 against him, he liked my 80 ball the best and I have been using it ever since.
That's why I go back to saying we all do this differently,
@sebi at least has tried 05 and 80 so I give him the respect of person experience, would love to see him play. Other people will often make statements without having tried the rubbers or even talked to other players about what they have used and why.
I played the whole of NA Teams in 2024 with Viscaria SALC with D05. I played the Butterfly Teams in 2025 with the same blade and D80. My results were not that different. The main reason I went to 80 again (I had tried it on a slower blade initially and thought it was too quick for a Viscaria SALC ) was because I prefer the passive blocking by a huge margin. It makes it easier for my passive touch to take over when I feel rushed where I would just block the ball into the sky with 05.
