To add where I'm coming from. Let's just say I have experience working for a US company with offices in Europe, Australia and even China that provides diagnostic instruments for the power grid industry that is dominated by just a handful of "players". After several decades of in-house development, much of the production on the hardware side has been outsourced to an EMS and I've had the privilege of working with a consultant to debug a model that kept running into problems, so I know a thing or two about OEM/ODM as well...
