Hugo and Joola now officially announced!
I was a bit skeptical, as Joola has been losing some ground in the TT market. But it’s becoming clearer that Hugo made a very good choice. He wants to keep building his image and brand in Brazil and the Americas, and XIOM won’t be able to help that further. I’m excited to see how it goes.

The opening teaser marketing on Hugo by Joola is very clever. Almost lifestyle and Federer like. Engaging definitely.

It looks very classy and invested.
The equipment will be key when released obviously but it's looking like a good campaign out of the blocks.

Exciting start to 2026 and a big turning point for Joola’s commitment to table tennis ✌️

That looks like the Vyzaryz Trinity and that blade is way too fast and stiff vs what Hugo was using, though it is a reasonably popular blade for limba lovers (I have two which I used when I played Golden Tango on both sides). I suspect he is just testing stuff in the Joola lineup and making hard decisions. In the end, I am confident they have to do something truly custom for him.

It’s fairly common for photo and video shoots to have other current products in when players are still signing. Don’t worry he will have his own blade 😁
